We walked into Amber and Andrea's house, Andreas mum instantly running over and hugging me. "Avery! I haven't seen you in so long. How are you?" She smiled, letting me go.
"I'm good, thank you. Congrats on the engagement."
"Thank you! What brings you here, dear?"
"Amber had something to say." Andrea bit her lip, leading her mum to the couch. "You and Jason should sit."
A man, who I presume to be Jason, walked over and sat next to Andrea's mum. "What's going on?"
"Dad..." Amber took a deep breath and I took her hand, gently squeezing it. She let out the breath, seeming to relax. "I like girls. Most importantly, I'm in love with this girl." She lightly squeezed my hand and I softly blushed, smiling.
His face contorted before he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Is he gonna yell at her? He slowly opened his eyes. "Fine."
"Fine?"
"Fine. I'm not happy, but you are my daughter. I'll just have to deal with it."
"Thank you, dad!" She grinned, letting go and hugging him.
I smiled and walked over, extending my hand. "Thank you for not kicking her out. We were both very worried. I'm Avery Smith. It's nice to meet you."
His eyebrows furrowed before he shook his head, face normal again as he shook my hand. "It's nice to meet you."
I smiled and let go of his hand, going to Andreas mum. "My mums said they'd love to attend the wedding, by the way. I wasn't sure if Andrea told you yet."
"She did, yes. I'm excited to see them again."
"I'll let them know." I smiled.
I felt an arm wrap around my waist and I turned, raising an eyebrow at Amber. "C'mon, let's go to my room." She whispered in my ear before pulling me away and up the stairs.
A/N: Long time no see... It's probably short and bad but I'm trying to get back into writing so I could finish stories, and hopefully create new ones again. Hope you liked this!
