When realisation hit hard upon him

Neil had been sitting on the bench in the park for the past fifteen minutes.He was still clueless why Sunehri had called him here.She had told him that it was really urgent and now she was nowhere to be seen.

Feeling restless,he got up from his seat.As he was about to walk foward,Sunehri came running,panting and taking heavy breaths.

Neil I am really sorry for being late Sunehri managed to speak, still finding it hard to breathe.

It's ok Sunehri, but why did you call me here Neil asked, still not able to figure out why she had called him and that too here.

I need to talk to you Neil she said calming herself, finally able to breathe properly.

Regarding what?

Regarding Avni.

As soon as Sunehri said Avni's name,Neil's expression changed all of a sudden.His face became serious and sullen all of a sudden which clearly showed his lack of interest.

I don't want to speak anything about her he said getting up from his seat quickly.

Neil please,you need to listen to me said Sunehri holding onto his hands.

What should I listen Sunehri?Is there anything left for me to listen?Didn't she really have time to speak to me and sort it out with me in this time period of ten years.But you know what, her ego didn't allow her to do so.I am her husband,Sunehri which means she can share each and everything with me.But she didnt trust me enough to do that.Instead she found an easy method of escaping from everything, leaving me alone these ten years, creating her own fake death,leaving me and my family heartbroken.How could she ever think of leaving me after what all happened between us?Didn't I love her enough?Didn't I trust her enough?What was the mistake that I did that she could take such a decision.Was I really wrong to love her?Sunehri,let me tell you one thing in advance.If you have come here to tell me to forgive her, then let me assure that it will never happen.I can never forgive her for cheating me ,for cheating our love.She promised me that she would never leave me but......

Neil couldn't speak anymore.He was already in tears.Holding his head with his hands for support, his eyes were looking down which was already red due to crying.

Sunehri has never seen Neil in such a broken state.To say that she was shocked would be an understatement.More than that she was in pain.She observed him only to find that he had lost weight,his eyes were tired and saggy due to lack of sleeping and he didn't have the charm and smile which he always had on his face.

Putting her hand on his shoulders she said Neil I am not supporting Avni's actions.Usne bahut galat kiya hai and I admit.Running away is not a solution to a problem but Avni did it because she was scared,scared of losing her love,scared of losing her perfect family.

Neil raised his head to look at Sunehri as he heard what she spoke.

She is different from you Neil, her background is different.She began her life in this world seeing her broken family,where her mother would always be crying, waiting for her father to come.She was always called a naajayaz,which broke her from both inside and outside.She never had a proper family.She didn't have happiness not even for a single day as a child.Her own grandmother and father disowned her and labelled her to be a shame to the society.All these affected the little Avni badly that she herself considered her to be a bad luck for everyone,whether it was for you or her own family.She never believed in love seeing the condition of her own family, where her father couldn't take a stand for her mother, whom he had loved.She didnt believe in law and justice, seeing what had happened to her mother.All these made her Ananya Verma, who was burning in the fire of revenge who wanted to completely destroy Dayawanti Mehta for destroying and shattering her family into pieces ,and then you came into her life changing everything,changing her.You made her fall in love,gave her family and most importantly loved her unconditionally,which she had never seen or expected in her life.She began to experience what happiness is ,only after you came into her life, Neil.But the same happy family,which she cherished the most,made her insecure when Vidyut entered her life.Avni would have not been scared if he would have threatened her or tried kill her,but he being smart enough threatened to break her perfect family, again making her the same Avni who was scared of losing her loved ones.

Meri baat abhi tak complete nahi hua hai Sunehri said raising her hands.

Prakash uncle had accidentally shot Avni's Neela maa.Vidyut threatened Avni by showing this video that he would break her family as Prakash uncle would be arrested for killing Neela maa.Do you think she aould ever allow anyone to shatter the biggest dream of her life?.She would do anything to protect you and your family Neil even if that means to sacrifice her own life.

But she never told all these things to me,Sunehri,Instead she took her win decision which she thought would be right Neil said,completely broken.

Neil ,listen I am not justifying her actions.I already told you that running away from a problem is not a solution, but for Avni that was the right thing to do.Tumhe bilkul nahi pata Neil woh tumse kitna pyaar karta hai.She may have done wrong by faking her death before you bur dont even think that she cheated you Neil.She can never do that to you, because you are the only one man whom she believes, trusts and loves so dearly.I know that it is not easy for you to forgive her so easily, but atleast give her a chance.Only I have seen how broken she is,pretending to be happy in front of everyone,hiding all her pain,Though she will never admit it ,that is the truth.

I know that you still love her Neil, so please give her a chance.

Neil was completely broken hearing this.He had never expected that Avni would go to this extent to protect him and his family.He sat on the bench with his right hand on his hand,tired ,trying to calm his uneven breath still not able to understand what to next.

I dont know if I will be able to forgive her, but like you said I will give her a chance Sunehri, but if something like this happens again then I dont think I will even be able to survive in this world

No Neil, I can assure you that nothing like that would happen ever again.Avni has now realised that she cant escape from anything and ultimately only truth prevails Sunehri said ,holding his hands tightly assuring him that nothing like that would happen ever again.

Thanks for understanding Neil Sunehri said finally wiping her tears, giving a faint smile.

I am the one who must be grateful to you Sunehri Neil said ,looking at her calmly.

But dont say to Avni that you saw me and told all these things to me.Let it be a secret between us Neil said ,looking at Sunehri with a tinge of seriousness on his face.
