~FLASHBACK TO 2 YEARS AGO~

After Father was watching my training for some time, he decided it was time I had to learn to work with other people, other than Aki.

That's when I met him, Haruno, or Haru for short.

He was the polar opposite of me in almost every aspect. Despite being in this line of work, he was always so warm and kind. He never fails to smile either.

Every time we successfully execute our assassination I could see the sorrow, guilt and regret in his emerald eyes for taking away someone's life.

In the few months we've known each other, we eventually fell in love with each other even though we both knew we shouldn't.

His reason for continuing to love me was that something about me made him want to be with me always.

"I could never leave you alone all by yourself" He would say warmly. I could never wrap my head around that reasoning of his to be honest.

"I want to save you, from yourself." He told me. "I want to give you a life you deserve. Not a life where you're forced to kill off your emotions and not to be able who you truly are." He said, looking at me earnestly.

That made me fall for him harder. He was the only in the world who saw me not as a heartless murderer but a girl who needed to be loved.

After finishing one of the biggest jobs we've pulled, we stopped by an abandoned church. It gave me this melancholic feeling which suited the atmosphere.

The inside of the church was illuminated by moonlight passing through the remnants of stained glass.

The silence that surrounded us was comforting, it reminded us how peaceful life could be.

We explored the church as we engage in idle conversations. "It's been a hell of a few months since Father introduced us." I mentioned.

"You're right. But thanks to him I was able to meet the most beautiful and precious girl I have ever known... And I know I want to spend the rest of my life with her."

He looked at me, blushing a bit from the words he had spoken. I was blushing far worse than him but for once, I didn't shy away or cover my face and smiled back at him.

You can tell he was pleasantly surprised at how bold I've become.

As we reached the altar, he knelt down on one of his knees and offered me a beautiful black ring with a small diamond in the centre.

The suspense that was building up inside of me reached it's peak.

"Fuyu, no, Fuyuki will you marry me?" He uttered with utmost sincerity.

At that moment, I was overjoyed, feeling my insides tightening and heating up. It's not an exaggeration to say that I was probably the happiest and luckiest girl in the world.

"Yes." I smiled at him, showing my teeth, allowing his to put the ring on my ring finger, feeling the cold metal ring against my pale skin as well.

In addition to the soft touch of his hand holding mine, this entire moment left in me in a state of euphoria.

Before I could do the same for him, a loud bang went off, leaving a bullet in my fiancée's shoulder.

"What a beautiful wedding! Such a tear-jerking moment!" Applauded Akira, coming forth from the shadows he lurked in with a gun in his hand.

I instinctively jumped in front of Haru and whipped out my twin blades. "What the hell are you doing, Aki?"

"Father sent me to observe your relationship with Haruno and is very disappointed in you Fuyu." Aki responded, fashioning a satisfied look on his face as his moonlit, amber eyes glistened.
