~Fuyuki's POV~

"Saru??! What the hell are you doing here?" Misaki demanded before I could.

When Saruhiko and I made eye contact, all I could think about was how he was panting and sweating exhaustingly. He looked kinda hot like that.

But, what on earth is he doing here??

After he regained his normal breathing rate, he just silently walked over to me, without replying or looking at Misaki at all.

I was confused yet astounded to the point where I couldn't do or say anything as he approached me.

When Misaki asked him one more time why he was here, he blandly told him to shut up while maintaining eye contact with me.

When he finally reached me, he snatched my hand away from Anna's and held onto mine tightly. "Let's go." He said to me, breaking off eye contact with me as he faced the outside of the bar and left.

When I wasn't swept up by the moment anymore, I tried my absolute best to squirm out of his iron grip.

What the fuck does he want with me?

When I had enough, I tried to kick his face only for him to dodge it easily. Due to my defenceless stance after kicking, he took this opportunity to pin me to the alley wall beside us.

Where is he getting this strength?!

With both of his hand pinning both of my wrists to the wall, I calmly asked. "What fuck do you think you're doing?"

"Huh? After being worried about you and searching for your sorry ass around the city, this is how you repay me? By complaining?" He retorted.

"I never asked you to worry about me and search for me did I?!" I yelled.

"If I disappeared one day don't try to find me. If I died without any reason then don't look for one. Whatever the fuck happens to me is my business alone! You-"

Out of the blue, Saruhiko cut me off by slamming his lips onto mine. I tried to break free from his grasp but his grip only got stronger as I eventually gave into the kiss.

When he broke it off, his glasses were reflecting the moonlight, so I couldn't his expression.

When he tilted his head to make eye contact one more time, I saw a mix of emotions in his eyes which I couldn't pinpoint.

"Then, whatever the fuck I do is also my business alone." He said monotonously. "If I want to look for you then just shut hell up and let me."

He raised his voice a bit while tightening his grip even more, leaving my wrists red and sore.

This fucking idiot...

Then, I did what I had to do. Cry.

"Please Saruhiko... let me go." I whimpered, while staring into his moonlit, sapphire orbs with my grey ones as I let tears fall freely.

Obviously stunned by my realistic acting, he released me from his painful grip. And when he did, I threw one of my drug-coated needles at him without him noticing.

After a few seconds have passed, he collapsed on the ground unconscious. "I'm sorry. But I meant what I said." I uttered before wiping away the crocodile tears on my face.

Why's he bothering himself with me this much? Isn't being just friends enough?

He was getting on my nerves and no way was he gonna calm down any time soon. It was easier to drug him.

I hauled his passed-out ass back to headquarters and placed him in his room as quietly as possible.

Luckily it was past midnight, so everyone in the boys dorm were already asleep due to the massive workload we had this morning.

I only had to make sure not to get caught by Munakata. When I placed Saruhiko in top of his bunk bed, I looked around his room thinking it was very plain and empty.

Except that photo with Misaki on his desk.

He looks so happy.

Since I threw at him quite a powerful drug, I had to administer some serum to weaken its effects along with something to wipe his memory of tonight.

You shouldn't have come for me.

The night ended not as peacefully as it started.

Day 40, the next day, finally came after what seemed like a very long night for everyone.

~Fushimi's POV~

Ugh... my head's killing me. What happened last night?

As I couldn't remember anything at all, I pushed that thought to the back of my mind. I got up and readied myself for another boring day at work.

Everyone and everything seemed to be just fine. Even Fuyuki. 'How strange' I thought.

Wait, why do I think that's strange? Did something happen to her last night?

The whole time during work, those same thought kept gnawing at the back of my mind.
"Fuyuki." "Yeah?" She replied. It was lunch time, and she was sitting with me as usual.

"What happened last night?" I asked blatantly. "Last night? Nothing happened last night, why?" She answered. "Tsk, no reason." I responded, followed by moving the vegetables on my plate to the side.

Something's wrong... She's hiding something, I know it. But what?

After working hours were done, I confronted her before going back to our respective dorms. Tsk, I've had enough of this.

When she was busy playing with her hair, I extended my arm towards the wall, blocking her path. "What are you hiding from me?"

"Umm you're blocking my way?" She dodged my question. "Answer my question." I remarked. "Dude, really. Nothing happened between us last night."

"So we were together last night huh?" "Shit." She broke eye contact with me.

I fucking knew it.

I slammed my other hand against the wall, blocking her only exit. "What were we doing last night?" I questioned her the second time around.

Her eyes widened for a second, like she remembered something. She then turned her gaze to the floor, causing some of her hair to fall over her eyes.

"Tsk, won't speak huh? *sigh* Do what you want." I told her. I walked away from her and towards my dorm.

When I turned behind to see what she was doing, she was also silently walking back to her dorm.

What won't she tell me? Tsk. Whatever. It's her life anyway.

That night, she still texted me when I was in bed.

"Good night" was the only text she sent me that night.

Good night huh? What a shitty day.
