Fourteen miles away in a death row facility sat Jamie. It has been 3 months since she told the police what happened. 3 months of her dealing with the legal system after being charged as an adult for 3rd degree murder. The investigators did not believe that she was innocent after finding the remains of her father, sister, and her mother. She spent her 18th birthday waiting for her death.

"Ms. Nguyen, We will read you, your last rights," said one of the officers in charge of watching her. She slowly sunk to her knees, ignoring them and began to pray. She thought of her family that will be waiting for her in heaven. Tears poured from her eyes and danced down her cheeks. She smiled and got up. The guards took her by the arms and guided her to the noose that hung from the stand ontop of a stage. She felt relieved strangely. Was it insanity that made her happy? Or was it the thought of being reunited with her family? She stood on the stool that allowed the noose to be fitted around her neck. As the rope tightened she began to curse the men around her. She felt hate in her heart. It was similar to what her mother had when she killed her sister and father. In that next moment, the stool fell. She hung there. Doomed to become a hateful spirit.
