~~Dream~~

I lay in the middle of a circle in a dark and damp place. I gasped and tried to move but my efforts proved worthless. Something was holding me down.

Forcing my eyes open I looked around and saw the faces of the Council. I gasped as I took in the sight of all of them, and in front of everyone was Mexil, the most trusted Council leader.

Mexil was reading from a spell book while the others were chanting and swaying from side to side clearly paying no attention to me. I glanced sideways and saw that my feet and hands were bound by ivory.

The chanting got louder and their movements more fluid. The fire flickered and shut off for only a second before re-flaming as the flames grew higher and brighter.

I began to float and then rise higher and higher as the chants grew, louder and stronger. I looked over at my arm and saw the mark began to burn and spread.

Somewhere in the distance I heard myself scream. Loud and painful, full of agony. For a second, everything froze until I fell into the Darkness......

I woke up in the campsite, my arm burning and my head throbbing. I shook Kane as hard as I could. He groaned and rolled over, taking me in his arms. "Good God Kane, wake up," I yelled at him. He opened his eyes and looked at me. "Yes, sweetheart?"

I smacked him in the arm and turned away slightly. "We need everybody up now. I feel like.....we just need to go Kane." He looked at me for a second before brushing the hair out my face. "Orc, you can tell me anything. You know that right?"

"Of course I know that Kane," I replied to him, stating the obvious truth. He looked at me hesitantly before removing his hand. "Just remember that, Orc. I'll go get everyone else." He ducked out of the room before I could respond.

When everybody got up I was the first to speak. "Guys, I have some very important news." I looked into the faces of my teammates; Zaya, Mina, Lyvity, Dove and most importantly Kane. I held out my arm to them and heard the surprised gasps coming from my most trusted friends.........
