chapter 25: I Know I'm Good Enough

Akko 

It's a beautiful Sunday morning in the Cavendish mansion. Why is it beautiful you might add? Well I'll tell you why, I'm wrapped up in bed with Diana by my side and its so cosy! Her aunt insisted on me sleeping in the guest room but I wasn't having none of that. Actually Diana wasn't having none of that... I was too scared to confront Diana's aunt heh. But that's all passed and it brings us to this very moment with my arm ( because the others broken ) around Diana, and her CUTE  sleeping face. And no i'm not weird for watching Diana sleep, there are rules you know. If the person you are watching sleep is your significant other it's okay.....as long as you're not standing in a dark corner doing it..... holding a knife.... in a horror movie....... yeah.

I'm kinda sick of having a broken arm, it's like i can barely doing anything. Luckily ,Diana cast a spell to decrease my healing rate , so i should be better by next week Friday. I'm happy Diana liked her birthday gift from me, she's still wearing the locket and I don't think she plans on taking it off anytime soon. Small movements come from Diana as she turns over in the bed. " mmm urghhh." She moans groggily opening her eyes. I laugh and she looks over to me. " Good morning Akko." Diana yawns half asleep. " Morning." I reply. She sits up and stretches. " For some reason I just feel so tired." she groans rubbing her eyes. " Anyway I'm going to have a shower. " Diana gets up from the bed and walks into the bathroom. I sulk. Stupid cast, I could've gotten in with her. My eyes look around her room. It's so simplistic but comfy. I get up and have a little walk around. A small box on her dresser catches my eyes. It's a wooden box carved with beautiful patterns. I wonder what's inside. Wait... am I allowed to look through her stuff? This may be private. Oh she won't mind

I open up the box to reveal a small collection of Shiny Chariot cards. My eyes glisten with delight. OH MY GOD..... I never knew Diana was a fan! This is awesome... but why didn't she tell me. Well at least I know i'm not entirely alone in knowing that there's another Chariot fan. The water from the shower stops. I quickly close the lid on the box and place it back down. The door handle turns and Diana walks in wrapped in her towel. I blush a little. just a little. " What are you doing over there Akko?" she asks me walking to her wardrobe. " N-nothing just looking around." I laugh nervously. " okay then." Diana says looking at me suspiciously. " Akko what should I wear today?" Diana asks. I walk over to her and look in her wardrobe. Its full of dresses, tops , shorts and so much shoes it's unbelievable.  My eye catches this beautiful floral dress and I immediately point to that one. " This would look amazing on you." I say and grab it. Diana smiles. " Good choice." 

-------Breakfast time------

Akko and I are seated side by side at the dining room table. Compared to yesterday night at this table... things seem a lot more friendlier. That's a start. " Atsuko, you know I don't like you very much but Diana does so I've decided to give you a chance. " My aunt says to Akko whilst taking a small bite out of her poached egg. " Thank you?" Akko replies  back to her. My aunt wipes her mouth with a napkin. " I have a few questions for you Atsuko." My aunt adds. I sigh. Really she needs to ask questions? I't doesn't help that the twins look as  if they're going to tare Akko apart if she says something wrong. " How much does Diana mean to you?" I raise my eyebrow, I thought she'd ask something different... not so personal. " She means the world to me, at first I really didn't like Diana one bit, but as time went on I got to know her and fell in love with her and honestly she is everything to me." I blush from Akko's words. My aunt smiles. " A long time ago I promised someone very dear to me that I would look after their daughter..... I haven't really ever kept that promise and I know if I take you away from Diana I know that promise would completely shatter. You're truthful in your words Akko, that's why I trust that you will do something i've always had trouble doing.... making sure Diana is happy." Daryl finishes.I can  tell Akko's face lightens up from hearing those words. My family has finally accepted Akko.

AN: yes I know this is short but i have an excuse! The next few chapters are LONG and very, very , very dramatic-sexual-crazy -awesome and just yeah none of you will see it coming heheh.
