The first month seems to fly by rather fast. I finally begin to feel the routine of my new life at Hogwarts and I could not be any more ecstatic. I wake up every morning excited to start a new day, not even Snapes moodiness can bring me down.
Speaking of which, thankfully there has not been any more mishaps in the potions class since the first day.
Basically the only challenge I face is avoiding Gilderoy every day. Whenever he catches my eye in the hallway I make sure to quickly join a large crowd of students walking to avoid him.
One day, I even went as far as hiding in the first room I was near and waited till I was sure he was gone. My close encounter with him had put me on edge so far, I simply didn't want to even look at him. I stood facing the door, with my hand on the knob, praying he never saw me enter the room.
I let out an exasperated sigh to calm myself down. I know it seems ridiculous to be so unnerved by the poor man, it seems he doesn't seem to know any better. But I just can't help it. I was so terribly awkward at handling the face to face confrontation I couldn't bear to find myself in a situation similar. Who knows, if Professor Snape hadn't interrupted I'm not even sure what I woulda have done.
"Hiding from someone?" A baritone like voice sounds behind me.
Not realizing how anxious I was I slightly gasp as I whip around now with my back against the door.
Professor Snape stands in front of me stirring lightly at a small teacup.
I realize I'm in one of the teachers lounges as I study the room then back to Snape. I can't help but notice the dainty, pink flowered teacup in his hands. Surely Professor McGonagall was the one who chose the China.
He takes a sip from the cup as he raises his eyebrow waiting for my reply. Instantly, I slap the palm of my hand to my mouth, failing miserably at stifling a giggle. I can't help it. The dark and unpleasant potions master sipping tea from a pink cup.
"Is something amusing to you, Ms. Reselda?" He questions flatly.
I let out a burst of light laughter, "I'm sorry Sir but you just look absurd with that cup" I manage to spit out still giggling. I've probably royally pissed him off but I don't even care. The sight just made my day as well as making me forget about Professor Lockhart altogether.
He looks down at the cup, then back to me and rolls his eyes and his mouth twitches ever so slightly into a minuscule smirk.
I breathe out, "and to answer your question, yes actually, take a wild guess who I was hiding from.." I say rolling my eyes.
"Understandable." Snape replies knowingly.
"I suppose he'd be gone by now though" I say turning to the door and peeking through the crack as I slowly open it.
"Enjoy your tea.." I smirk as I look back, unable to help myself from admiring his handsome composure.

That night, i quickly shower and slip into my nighty and into my bed leaving my damp hair down.
I happily sigh and smile to myself as I stare at the roof in the darkness.
"Are you enjoying it here Magna?"
He hoots back from the window reassuringly.
"Me too. Night boy" I smile.
Things couldn't be any more better. I close my eyes to sleep for the night. But my mind has other plans..
I do fall asleep in a matter of minutes, but as soon as I enter a deep slumber, flashes dance across my eyes..
