Robin's P.O.V.

"So," Marian says," how have you been? It feels like I just saw you, since I came from the past, but I know that's not true."

"Things have been fine," I say," Roland's really started to grow up, and he can talk fluently now."

"How long has it been?" Marian asks.

I stop to think.

"About thirty years, including curses and such when time stopped," I say.

Earlier this morning, Marian asked if I wanted to have breakfast with her, and I accepted so here I am. We have a lot of catching up to do.

"I've missed you," she says," even though it hasn't been that long for me."

She grabs my arm and wraps it around herself.

"You haven't missed to much," I inform," besides a few curses."

"How many?" Marian asks.

"Honestly, I've lost count," I reply.

She laughs and I allow myself a chuckle.

I look over and see Regina looking at us. I sigh.

This is bad.

She looks like she might cry. I want so badly to go over and hug her, but that would be rude to Marian. My time is hers right now.

"Let me guess," Marian jokes," most of them were cast by the Evil Queen?"

I sigh.

"I should probably go and check on Roland," I quickly reply and get up.

Marian stands up after me and follows me, clearly seeing that I am unamused by her comment.

She stops me on the sidewalk.

"Robin, what's wrong? What aren't you telling me?" she questions sincerely.

"A lot can happen in thirty years, Marian," I reply.

"Like what?" she asks.

"A little more than a year ago, a curse was cast here in Storybrooke that brought the residents over the the Enchanted Forest- where I was," I sigh," One of which was Regina. Over the course of about a year, we fell in love while hunting down a wicked witch- Zelena."

"There's something you're not telling me," Marian realizes," what is it?"

"Regina," I say," was known by a different name in the Enchanted Forest."

"And what was that name?"

"The Evil Queen," I mutter.

"So you replaced me with some villain?!" she exclaims.

"She's not a villain anymore," I defend," she's changed."

Marian sighs.

"Do you choose her over me?" she asks quietly.

"I haven't chosen anyone just yet," I plead," just give me some time."

"Okay," Marian says," take as much time as you need. Just know that I'll always be available."

She smiles.

"Thanks for understanding," I tell her," I should be on my way."

"Goodbye Robin," Marian responds.

"Goodbye."

I go straight to Granny's to talk to Regina.

"Regina," I say as I run through the door," can we talk?"

She looks at me and puts on a smile that I know is fake. I can see how broken she is.

"Of course," she replies.

We sit down outside of Granny's at a table.

"How was your date?" Regina asks.

"Pardon?"

"With Marian," she says politely," how was it?"

"That wasn't a date, we were just catching up," I try to defend.

"Robin," she interrupts," it's fine. I totally understand if you want to go on a date with her. She was your wife, after all.I know that this is a hard decision for you."

I look deeply into Regina's eyes.

"Thank you," I say softly," for being so understanding. How did I get so lucky?"

She just giggles, but I see a flicker of pain in her eyes.

Not pain; guilt. I think to myself.

"Regina, are you alright?" I question.

She sighs.

"I have a confession to make," she whispers.

"What is it?"

"All those years ago, when your wife died, you probably never knew who the murderer was," she gulps and her eyes begin to sparkle with tears," It was me. I am the reason your wife died. I ordered for her to be persecuted because she helped Snow White. I am so, so, unbelievably sorry."

I look at her, unable to speak.

So my first love was killed by my second love. That doesn't seem right.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" I finally am able to speak.

"Because I didn't know it was her," Regina cries," I didn't know until I saw her in Granny's the other night."

There is more silence, and then Regina speaks up again.

"Go," she says," be with your wife, she deserves you a lot more than I do."

She puts her head in her hands and begins to cry even harder.

"Regina, how could you?" I exclaim.

Her eyes are red with tears.

"I'm sorry," she cries," is there anyway you could possibly ever forgive me?"

"I guess we will just have to see," I whisper.

I can barely look at her. How could she do this? I walk away from her and head home. I need to think everything through.
