I spent Sunday afternoon catching up on homework and spending time with my family. My mom knew how hard of a time I was having and tried to make things a little lighter and fun around the house. I didn't want to burden her with my problems or make her feel like she had to coddle me. I was about to tell her that but then I saw that she was making my favorite dinner Chicken Tortellini and I decided that I would just wait on telling her anything. Don't judge me, if you had ever tasted it you would have kept your mouth shut too. It was nice for us to spend time as a normal family, no Alpha duties or Luna lessons. Just a normal family spending time with each other on the weekend relaxing and playing games. Although I think my Dad was getting irritated that he kept losing at Trouble, David kicked all of our butts at that game. I couldn't help but smile as I crawled into bed thinking about David's victory dance every time he had won, he was such a happy kid. I was getting ready to pull the covers over me when I heard a
small thump against the side of the house near my window. I sat up and listened to see if I heard anything else but I didn't. It must have been the wind again, it had been extra windy lately and finding sticks and limbs scattered all over the yard wasn't anything new. I laid down and was getting ready to cover up when I heard another thump, I closed my eyes in frustration, this was going to be a long night. Once I did fall asleep there was no waking me up, but it took me forever to fall asleep if it was noisy. I pulled the covers over my head and heard a ping against my window. I sat up in bed and looked towards my window, a limb wouldn't have made that type of noise. I got up and walked to my window to look out, I didn't see anything but I heard another thump near my window. I opened the window to get a better look and right as I stuck my head out a pebble came flying at me and hit me square in the forehead.
"Ouch, hey!" I said rubbing my forehead.
"Crap. Did I hurt you? That was a stupid question, I just threw a rock at your head! You probably are hurt." I smiled as I heard my mate's voice.
"Would you hush, I'm fine. It will take more than a pebble to hurt me." I reassured him. "Your aim however is quiet offensive, where did you learn to throw?"
"Ha ha ha, you're so funny." I couldn't help but laugh at him a little bit, his aim really was awful. He better be glad my parent's room was on the opposite side of the house.
"Can you come down?" He whispered.
"Yes I'll be right down!" I shut my window and rushed to my door, then stopped and looked in the mirror. Yikes! I had a ratty t-shirt on and an old pair of basketball shorts on, they were super comfortable but not cute at all. I quickly changed into a tank top and some running shorts, then ran a brush thru my hair. I debated on putting on some light make up but then realized it was dark outside and he couldn't see me that well. I quietly opened my door and then shut it as my vanity won out, I quickly applied a little make up before I left my room and snuck down the stairs. Our house was big enough that I'm sure my parents wouldn't hear me but they're also werewolf's with excellent hearing so I wasn't going to push my luck by not being sneaky.
As I stepped out the back door I looked for Troy but couldn't see him. "Troy?" I loudly whispered as I scanned the back yard looking for my mate. I heard a rustling behind me and knew it was him but I let him sneak up behind me. I felt his arms sneak around my waist and him place a kiss my neck.
"What took you so long little fish?" He asked me.
"It took me five minutes, if that." I defended myself. I could feel his smile against my neck. "Not that I'm not extremely happy to see you, but what are you doing here?"
"I know it was a little risky coming here like this but I had to tell you something." I could feel the excitement radiating off of him.
I turned in his arms to face him, "You're going to get a coach to help you learn how to throw better?" I teased.
