Chapter 9

"Hayes..Hes missing." He sighed.

"Since when?" I asked worried.

"Ryder said he had left two nights ago to meet some chick but he hasnt come back to the dorm rooms." Nash shrugged. "Im going to pack my things and go to Washington to look for him." He added.

"Let me go with you." I blabble out.

"Alex, its fine ill go."He said.

"No, Nash. Let me go." I say sternly.

"Fine." he sighed. "Let me just pack my thing then we'll go to your house and get your things." He headed upstairs.

"What happened?" Aaron asked walking into the house, followed by Matt, Carter and Taylor.

"Hayes missing so Nash and I are going to Washington to look for him." I say.

"Isnt that dangerous?" Taylor asked.

"Why would it be?" Cameron asked.

"Well what if he was murdered and if the murder found out you guys were looking for him, he would kill you too or maybe he or she is a rapist and he rapes you or drugs you or kidnaps you or something!" he started.

"Taylor, she'll be fine. She knows how to handle things." Matt winked.

"Yeah, Tay, dont worry about her." Carter grabbed his shoulder.

"Fine but if she goes missing too, its going to be your guys fault." He threw his hands up in surrender.

Nash rushed down the stairs with his suitcase in hand.

"Ready to go?" He asked me.

"Yeah. Bye guys." I wave to the boys.

"Bye Alex. Be Safe." Aaron hugged me.

"I will." I give him a tight hug. I felt him place a kiss on my temple.

"Alex, we have to go." Nash said.

I let go of Aaron and nod. We leave the house in Nashs Mustang. When we get to the house i quickly run upstairs to gather my stuff.

As i was packing my stuff i heard a crunch sound. I lift my pair of converse and see the blue wrapper of a Ring Pop. It was open so tjere was no candy in it. Then i remembered it was the Ring Pop Hayes gave me the day he asked me out.

"Alex, you almost done?" I heard Nash yell.

"Yeah." I yell back.

I stick the wrapper in my pocket and close my suitcase. I run downstairs where Nash was waiting for me. We leave the house lcked and go to the airport.

Why would i find the wrapper in my room? When Hayes asked me out, he opened the Ring Pop and placed it on my finger but i remember I told him to remember to throw it away.

*Hayes P.O.V*

I didnt feel like going home. After Alex rejected me for the millionth time i was done.

If your wondering where im at right now, Im at my ex girlfriends, Lexi's condo. I called her because she kept bugging me to go back with her and I need someone to get my mind off Alex.

I have never loved someone as much as I loved Alex. The only person close enough for my love for Alex was my mom. All the other girls I have dated were not even 100 miles close to her.

"Hayes are you ok?" Lexi came into the bathroom with the sheets wrapped around her.

"Yeah, my head just hurts." I rub my temples.
