"What If I Loved You" - a Calum Hood love story

Chapter 5

*Lindsay's P.O.V.*

I woke up that morning remembering what happened last night. All I did was smile at the thought of Calum's kindness.

"Lindsay? You up?" Calum said whispering while his fellow band mates where still in a deep sleep

"Yeah I'm awake" I replied

"You hungry? Cuz I sure am." he said

"Actually yeah I am" I said

"To the kitchen!" Calum said still keeping his voice to a low whisper

He then grabbed my wrist an pulled me out of the bunk area to the mini kitchen they had on the bus.

"What do you want to eat?" Calum said

"I don't know. What do you have?" I replied

"Well we have a lot of Vegemite, Nutella, and Bananas" Calum answered

"Hmm" I said trying to chose

"Or I can make you breakfast?" He said with a smile

"You mean to tell me Calum Hood can sing and cook? Wow this guy is amazing!" I said

"I know right? I hear he is a handsome devil." Calum said laughing and opening the fridge

Calum then grabbed out 6 eggs, 4 slices of bread, and Nutella. He cracked open all of the eggs and threw the bread in the toaster. Shirtless Calum cooking was quite a beautiful sight. He flipped the eggs a few times and took them out of the pan and placed them on two plates. The bread popped out of the toaster and he carefully put Nutella on each slice and then placed them on the plates.

"Bon a petit!" He said smiling handing me a plate

"Thank you Chef Calum" I replied with an even bigger smile

"You're welcome Lindsay" he said laughing

I took a bite of the food he made me and it was surprisingly good, considering an 18 year old bass player made it. Calum sat down next to me and also ate his food. For a second I stopped eating and looked at the side of his face, admiring his olive skin, jet black hair, his jawline, and his incredible smile. This boys smile was so beautiful that if he told me he killed my family and then smiled I would completely and totally be okay with it.

"Lindsay? Hello?" Calum said snapping me out of my daze

"Uh sorry Calum" I said

"You seem to do that a lot." he said

"Do what?" I asked

"You get a dazed look in your eyes and you don't do anything but stare..." Calum said

"Oh uh sorry I guess it's a habit" I said worried that I probably scared off Calum Hood

I finished my food and got dressed and met the rest of the people that worked with the boys on tour

I became accustomed to seeing people I didn't know come and go on the bus frequently

"Lindsay?" I heard Calum say

"Yes Cal?" I said finding him next to a woman with light lilac hair

"This is Lou, she is our hairdresser and stylist" he said

"How nice to meet you, Calum told me what happened. We will have a new shipment of clothes for you by tomorrow morning." Lou said

"You don't have to do that" I replied

"I know, but I wanted to. And besides, something tells me you're going to want to stick around a lot longer than you have to." She said winking and looking towards Calum

I then got off the bus as security ushered us into this building that was an arena.

"Close your eyes." Calum said

"Why?" I replied

"Just do it" He said with a smile

"Okay Calum, but if something happens that shouldn't I'm gonna kick your ass." I said laughing

"Oh I believe it" Calum said guiding me with his hands on my shoulders

We walked up steps and made constant turns left and right.

"Almost there" Calum whispered in my ear

I felt his hot breath against my neck giving me goose bumps

"Okay Lindsay, you can open your eyes now." Calum stated

"Woah, this is where you're playing tonight?" I asked breathlessly looking from the stage at all the empty seats, remembering my dream of doing this one day.

"Yeah, isn't it amazing." Calum replied

"Amazing? It's beautiful, I only hope one day I can do something like this." I said

"You mean you sing?" Calum asked

"A little..." I replied

"Come here" Calum said grabbing my hand and making me blush while pulling me to a chair

"Stay here, I will be right back." Calum exclaimed while running off back stage.

He came back with an acoustic guitar and sat down

"Here let me play something and you just sing" he said

"Calum, you don't understand. It's not that easy for me. I have stage fright and I'm not about to embarrass myself in front of you." I said

"Lindsay, just listen to me. You can do this, it's just you and me." He said rubbing my arm with a sincere look in his eyes

"Alright Calum, I'll do it for you." I said with a shaky voice

Calum started strumming the first cords of "Stay With" Me by Sam Smith and the words just flowed out of my mouth with love and passion

"Guess it's true, I'm not good at a one-night stand But I still need love 'cause I'm just a man These nights never seem to go to plan I don't want you to leave, will you hold my hand? "Wow, Lindsay that was amazing. It was truly beautiful." Calum said with a look of astonishment in his eyes

"Thanks, I couldn't have done it with out you." I said hugging him

The other boys came out from backstage and all applauded and shouted. Never have I ever had anyone enjoy my music before.

"I've never sang in front of anyone before." I said

"Well you're pretty damn good at it." Calum said smiling

"Would you like to open up for us tonight?" Ashton asked

"Me? You want me to open for 5 Seconds Of Summer?" I said

"It would be an honor to have someone as talented as you open up for us." Ashton said

"Under one condition..." I said

"And what would that be?" Michael asked

"I perform the same exact way I just did. Just me, Calum, and a guitar." I said

"Sounds good to me" Ashton replied

All the boys nodded their heads in agreement

"Welcome to the music business Lindsay." Calum said looking at me with content in his eyes and a proud smile playing on his lips

"Thanks Cal" I said.

I have no clue how tonight will go, but as long as I have Calum by my side, I know I can do anything. I have fallen for Calum Thomas Hood, and I've fallen hard.
