CHAPTER ONE ~ That Morning

CHAPTER ONE

Most people say witches don't cast spells, vampires don't drink blood, werewolves don't change in the moonlight, and spirits don't roam around earth. Well...now I know they haven't had something happen to them that will terrifie them out of there pants. I did. This is my story.

It was an extraordinary day today. I woke up to the sounds of police cars. The blue and red lights blinded me as I said hello to the surprisingly gloomy day. Oh how impolite i am i didn't even introduce myself? My name is Elizabeth Marie, and I'm a... girl who really has to get to school. I continued on my day thinking of how today will be any better than the others. I tip toed out of my room hoping not to wake my parents or sister and brother.

I went to the bathroom, brushed my teeth, brushed my hair, and did my makeup. It was a regular morning for me. Until my best friend Lily called me on my home phone. I knew something was up because she never and I mean never calls this number she knows I like using my cell better. I picked it up slowly as I felt a slim running down my hand next onto my arm. My stupid 8 year old brother probably pulled another phone slim prank fail I said to myself.

On the phone I heard deep full out "Oh my god I have been running for days!" breathing. I heard a whisper "hello." it was Lily, but why? The next thing I heard was "Oh My God there it is!" then a wisp and the line got cut of. I was freaked out at that point. What if she got hurt, or even died. I didn't want to go to school, but then at the back of my mind I knew I was forgetting something ... I remembered... It's Taylor's birthday today!

Taylor Trent she is the prettiest most popular girl in 9th grade. Every year she makes everyone give her as much gifts as they can afford, but if you don't well... good luck getting out of high school. I guess I am one of those people today.

I finished getting ready and my mother had to go to work so she was rushing us because she had to drive us. She works as a teller in a bank. She brings home a lot of candy because a women named Olivia gives her a lot to bring home to us. She is the oldest person in Creek Falls she actually is the Mayor's great grandmother. She's really nice when you get to know her.

When we got outside there was me holding my little sister Katy's hand, and my brother Jackson was filling our garden up with slim. I felt a strange feeling being outside it was like someone was watching me. I thought it was nothing so we all got in our 2009 Honda Civic. Jackson and Katy both went to Creek Falls Elementary School we had to drop them off first. As they were saying goodbye there was the strange feeling again. I told my mother about it, she said "ignore it, there are a lot people around". So I did it was time to go to school, I go to St. Josephs High School. It is exactly 2 weeks of high school for me and it's hard to adjust to.

When we got at my school I saw Charissa standing at the front doors with Xander and Lily. My mom was trying to talk to me but I was trying to figure out what happened with the phone call this morning. I was rushing out the car door, but then my mom said be careful like she does every morning, than I ran to Charissa, Xander, and Lily.

"Lily what happened this morning, are you hurt, Lily!"

People were starting to look at me crazy like a "why are you yelling at her" kind of way. She answered really quietly like she wanted only me, Charissa, and Xander to hear, but all she said was "i'm fine" then we all walked to Mr. Fitzgerald's history class. As we were walking me and Charissa were talking. "did you hear the police cars this morning" she said to me. "Yes they woke me up and then I got a strange phone call from Lily". I said back to her, but then Charissa stopped right at the door of history class. "did you say you got a strange phone call from Lily"? She asked me in a mysterious tone in her voice. All I said back was yes and why. "Because I did to she said hello then screamed". I told her that's what happened with me to and we both freaked then told Xander everything.
