I follow through rehearsal with the cast. The director gives me a script and I follow as they run through the whole musical. Everyone in the cast is just as good as the Hamilton cast. They sing everything beautifully, and it makes me nervous that I have to live up to them.

When they are done running through the musical with the choreography, it is about time for the show to start. The cast waves me goodbye, and I go out into the lobby to watch the show.

My seat is in the front row, just as Jessica said. I sit down and look around the theatre. Other people are just starting to stream in, too. I watch as adults and kids take their seats. Some look super excited, and I totally understand the feeling.

It is about fifteen minutes until the show starts when the seat next to mine is finally filled. A girl that looks about sixteen or seventeen sits down in it. She immediately takes out her phone and begins taking photos of the theatre. I smile, knowing I would have done the same under the conditions. I decide this girl must be similar to me so I work up the courage to talk to her.

"Um, hi," I say in her direction. I've always been a little shy, and I don't really know how to start a conversation.

She looks at me "Hi," then she tilts her head, "Do I know you from somewhere?" She squints.

"I don't think I know you," I say. "I'm Hazel."

"I do know you!" The girl exclaims, "You're Hazel Miranda! I saw you in your final show! Your story is amazing! You're, like, my idol!"

"Oh!" I reply, blushing, "thank you so much! What's your name?"

"You are such a good singer!" She continues gushing. "My names Amelia. I'm your age, fifteen."

"Cool!" I respond. The lights dim. "I'll talk to you after the show."

"Okay," she says. We listen to the introduction, and then the show begins.

We watch the show in awe, gasping and laughing at all the same times. The show seems to fly by, and before we know it is over. The actors line up and bow. We stand up to clap, and Amelia whistles loudly. People start to file out, but Amelia and I sit back down to talk. We exchange numbers.

"Would you want to hang out sometime?" I ask her. I already know what her answer will be, but I don't want to be one of those conceited celebrities that only pays attention to themselves.

"Um, YES!" she shouts. We both giggle.

The theatre is almost clear. "See you later, then?" I say.

"For sure," she nods, and then we walk out of the theatre. I smile the whole time I walk back to the Richard Rogers. Amelia definitely didn't know I was going to be in Matilda. She also didn't know I was pretty much friendless. But she obviously likes to sing.

I get back to the theatre at about 10:30, and Hamilton is just finishing up. The cast congratulates me as I walk by. Lin must have told them about my part in Matilda. I smile and thank them all.

Lin walks by, "How was it?" He asks.

"It was amazing, but not as good as yours," I reply.

"Well, of course," Lin smiles.

"I met a girl named Amelia, too. We're gonna hang out sometime," I add.

"That's great," Lin responds, his smile growing wider, "I'm glad you found some people to hang out with."

"Me, too," I murmur under my breath. I haven't had any friends for a while.

I say goodbye to the cast as they go out to stage door and head up to my room. Plopping down in my beanbag, I read for a while. I can hear the fans outside the door, obviously excited to see Lin and the cast. I smile. I can't even imagine what I would be doing right now if I was still living with my old foster parents. Nothing like what I am now.

I fall asleep with my book in my hands to the sounds of the city beneath me.

Hey guys! Really short chapter, and not super interesting. I just wrote this in a few hours so there are probably some errors. Good luck to all you writers out there!
