Ashton grabs my arm and drags me out of the party. He doesn't stop dragging me until we're about at a bus stop. Actually, it was the bus stop in which I'd left at.

"What the fuck, Laila?! Why would you even do that to start with?! Why didn't you leave the note saying it was you, why would you lie to me?" He asks brokenly.

I roll my eyes, laughing slightly. "Silly, young, naive Ashton. Don't you know? I'm a fuck up. I've always been a fuck up. I'll always be a fuck up, too." I smile gently. "I'm not right in the head. I'm fucking weird and I do stupid shit. For example, well, the night I lost my virginity to you." I smirk slightly. "I've never regretted it though." I smile softly.

"I-I just don't... Understand." He says.

"There's really not too much to get. We fucked, I lied and left a note with a fake name, and that was that."

"How come you never at least.. Visited when you were gone. Or called. Or sent an anonymous letter?" He asks.

"Because everyone in this town is damned. This place is poison, and I only make it worse, being here. Soon enough, I'm going to be walking the streets with my signature bottle of vodka, being arrested and - knowing dad - juvie. I'll be gone again. That's okay. By the time I get out, I'll be 18. You won't ever have to see me again." I tell him with a blank expression.

"I don't want you to leave." He murmurs.

"Then what do you want?"

And suddenly my back is being pressed to the wall of that empty bus stop. His body is slightly pressed against mine. When we breathe, our chests touch slightly, making my breathing in return speed up slightly.

One of his hands rests on the back of my neck. The other sets on my waist. His face dips down and he presses a soft kiss to my cheek. He pulls back very slightly and looks me in the eyes. "I want you. To stay. To let things go back to the way there were before. To let me admit to you what I never could back then, that I wanted you. To-to.. I don't know, for you to be good aga-"

I laugh loudly, and then shove him away. "You think that I'm going to be good again?! Ashton, I don't want to be good! I want to be bad! I want to fuck up and be a fuck up! I want to be the person that gets to be used as an example to their kids not to act like! I don't care about myself, Ash. I really don't. If I died right now, I wouldn't care. I've been excluded from my family like a pariah, and it took them me leaving for them to finally realize I wasn't that bad of a person?! Fuck that! Fuck! That!" I scream.

He stares at me, at a loss of words. The bus stops next to us, coincidentally. He doesn't say anything when I walk on the bus. He doesn't try to stop me. He just stands there, a shocked expression, and a sad look in his eyes forever to be etched in my mind.

"What are you doing here? You're not supposed to be here!" Danny asks, furious.

"It didn't work out. I can't stay there." I tell him, pushing him and walking into his house.

"Laila, did you even try?" He asks.

"No. You shouldn't have to try when it comes to your family being decent fucking people towards you, no matter how you act. They can't accept me for who I am. They want to change me. And I don't want to change, so fuck that." I drawl angrily.

"You can crash here for the night and I won't tell your parents. Baby sit my kid for me tomorrow and I'll let you stay another night, but this can't be a long term thing. You're only 17, you need your family." He says gently.

"Sure, I'll watch Bea for you." I tell him. He nods and leads me to a spare room.

I fall asleep, in the dark with tears on my face.

Sorry that this is so short my dudes! But, this is kind of an aware-ing note that this book is finally back and most likely because I'm high and I was like "oh? This was a thing?" When I looked in my drafts and decided, I should republish this !
