Chapter IV

Jess's POV

I've been searching for Dex's stupid ass for over an hour! Where could he be.."Dex where the fuck are you" Finally after a few more minutes of looking, I see him patiently waiting for me in front of an abandoned mall with a German Shepherd sitting next to him. I stop the car right in front of him and he just laughs "took you long enough. I've been sitting here for like an hour" Once again I'm debating leaving him here or letting him go with me again. "I found a shit ton of supplies" He says as he throws all the stuff he found in the back. He starts walking towards this huge skyscraper a few seconds after, kind of like he's in a trance. "Dex? Where are you going? " I say as I follow him "I........i saw someone up there... " He says "Dex.......there isn't anyone up there, the whole city is abandoned" He grabs the bolt action from the back of the car and runs towards that skyscraper, his dog following right behind him.
