"Caught in a lie."

The whiteness of the hospital tricked the boy that he was pure, or at least pure enough.
His mind was in a haze full of deception , and
he was very close to losing himself.
However, he wasn't always like this.
He used to be laughing all the time,
he used to be happy.
His smiles made his eyes disappear, and his one crooked tooth would peek out from his lips.
What changed him from a bright boy into
this unrecognizable person?
Was it because of the accident that happened
one year ago, on April 11th?
Was it the disappearance of his dear friend,
who vanished his side in the hospital?
Or was it,
the loss of his sanity?
