Six months later

The door bell rang. Kara rushed to the door and there was Lily, shivering in her coat with a scarf wound around her neck. Kara gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. Lily bundled indoors as Kara was about to slam the door, trying to keep the cold out but Kara's mum rushed out the door before she could yelling,

"You too have fun!"

"Have fun at choir!" Kara replied. Ever since her dad had left, her mum was so much more relaxed and free, she was involved with more clubs and had more friends. Kara was happy for her, she was unleashed, she knew that her father never meant to hold her mum back but she was a lot more happier now. Kara and Lily had planned to watch a movie before going to a party later on. They both curled up together on the sofa underneath a blanket, warming each other as they munched on toffee popcorn. They both laughed at the funny bits and cried at the sad parts and before they knew it the film was over and it was time to get ready.

Lily followed Kara upstairs to her bedroom, she loved the room, it was nice, being in the place they had first kissed. Kara turned on the music, drew out the makeup and they did each other's, Lily gave Kara a smoky eye with a dark purple lipstick. Kara loved it and hugged her (because if they kissed they would smudge the lipstick!) Kara then gave Lily a dark pink eyeshadow with a nude lipstick, Lily loved it and they both looked at each other and giggled. Lily couldn't help staring at her girlfriend, she was hot! They got into their dresses, Kara got out the cider, and they were good to go.

They got to the party at just past eight o'clock and they talked to their friends, talked to other friends. Lily sunk down into the sofa and as she was wondering where her girlfriend was she was relieved to see Kara rooted their in front of her.

The way she felt about her. Every love filled moment when she winked and gave her that smile with a flick of the mouth whilst sinking into the old dusty sofa. It was like a dream, but it was her reality. She leant into her, mouth nuzzled into her cheek as she felt her soft silky kiss on her head. "I love you," she said to her girlfriend for the first time, "I love you too." The other girl replied for the first time also. They kissed and as their lips touched each other, all that was in that room that night was pure love. She was her girlfriend and she wouldn't change anything else about her life for the world. Except for one thing. She wanted her dad to love her.

Kara's mum filed for a divorce a couple of months ago and Kara hasn't seen her dad since he walked out. Maybe some day he will learn to forgive her, but until then, Kara will be waiting.
