Laurent woke up by 6:30 that morning, feeling excited and eager to start working at Larwares. He had no idea about gaming, neither did he have any idea about what his job position would be. All he knew was he was going to be a working man by that morning and that was all that mattered.

All the while in France, he had felt like he was wasting away slowly, with no job and no handwork. It was difficult to get jobs these days in France and one could only find work through connection. And that was what he had lacked.

He had no family member in France that could help put him in work and having gone to a polytechnic instead of a university, not many people were impressed by the certificate he presented.

When Larry's mother had called and told him Larry had a job for him, he had been overwhelmed with joy. He hadn't even thought to ask him earlier because he had been embarrassed, so when Larry's mother told him she had talked to Larry on his behalf, he had felt like crying in joy.

He wanted to make his mama proud and do something he could sit down and look at and be proud of. Larry was giving him so much by helping him. First, processing his visa, sponsoring his flight on first class to America, providing a shelter and the job. Larry was doing so much for him already.

Laurent got ready and by 7:13, he was done and headed to the living room to wait for Larry.

By 7:30, Larry walked into the living room, his fragrance putting Laurent in a trance.

"Good morning," Laurent got up, balancing his backpack on his shoulders.

"Morning," Larry scanned Laurent from head to toe, his face slowly scrunching up in irritation. "Uh.. What are you wearing?"

Laurent looked down at his outfit, confused at the question. "Clothes?"

Larry walked closer and gaped at Laurent. "Are you serious?"

"Is something wrong with my cloth?" Laurent took another look at his outfit, not seeing anything wrong with his white YOLO shirt and black jeans or his converse.

Larry let out a sigh. "Go change them. And hurry."

Laurent nodded and took off to his room. Maybe Larry hated the colors he wore so Laurent made sure to wear different colors.

"How old are your clothes?" Larry gaped at him.

Laurent blinked. "Uh, this shirt is 4 years now. But I non outgrow it yet. It still fit me."

"Who's talking about fitting? Your clothes are old and washed! And fuzz balls from them are falling everywhere on my couch and floor!" Larry snapped.

Laurent pulled at his shirt. It did look old. Maybe he should have spent his money on new clothes instead of buying Larry's mum a thank you gift.

"This is all you have? All your cloths look like this?" Larry asked. "And that wristwatch- oh my God. It's not working, is it?"

Laurent looked at his wristwatch then smacked it. A soft tic-tic sound began to emit from it.

Larry's mouth flew open as Laurent drowned in embarrassment. He had almost forgotten that Larry's wealth was not a joke and his things were rags compared to Larry's designer cloths.

"You can't wear this to work. You can't wear this anywhere," Larry shook his head at Laurent.

"I non have any more better than this. I will buy new clothes when I start for make money."

"Let's go," Larry said and walked off, his charisma enveloping everywhere he stepped foot.

As they were in the car, Laurent sat in silence his mood down. This wasn't how he had played out the day when he woke up. He hadn't known the down side of his day would be before he left the house and caused by his clothes.

"Sorry," Laurent spoke, daring to look at Larry.

Larry's face was pulled in a scowl, his jaws clenched, his head turned to stare outside the window. Laurent observed Larry's body language, concluding he had annoyed Larry.

"I'm sorry," He repeated, not gaining any response from Larry.

Laurent relaxed into his chair and watched the buildings pass by.

15 minutes later, the driver pulled over on the side of the road and switched off the engine.

"Get down," Larry said as he too got down from the car.

Laurent followed Larry and walked into the massive store.

"Mr Bourgeois," A female attendant rushed over. "Good morning."

Larry's expression had changed like a light switch and he seemed warmer. "Hello. How're you? I'm here to shop for my cousin. Please take care of us."
