Fiona's POV

"Fi....are you done?" Em called out from downstairs and from her voice you could tell she was more than fine. "Yeah.....give me two minutes" I shouted from my room as I hurriedly wore my shoes and tied my curly long strawberry blonde hair to a high ponytail. I looked at the mirror ensuring I looked perfect. I had worn a hot pink crop top which exposed the black laces of my bra, tight dark jeans and a pair of black and silver converse. I applied faint dark eye-shadow over my sky blue eyes and raspberry lip gloss.

"That took you forever. Hurry up or we'll miss the meeting with the advertisers" Em said as she pulled my hand once I was down the steps. We got into the back of the limo and Steve drove, as usual.

Thoughts about the night before were still lingering in my mind, especially Sebastian's threat or 'promise'. Em noticed my mood and pat my knee gently. "Don't worry. I heard they know their work so I'm a hundred percent sure they know what they are doing." She said and I looked at her, confused at first but then I realised that I hadn't told her about what had happened.

"We have arrived ma'am, " Steve said and I thanked him as Em walked out. As soon as I was out, I looked at the building we were supposed to enter and froze. Oh no! Why here and why now? In front of me was the Rockwell Company building and so far, only one person owned this company, a person I didn't want to meet very soon. Why now fate, why?

Sebastian's POV

"Excuse me sir, your meeting with Fiona Ivor is in five minutes." John, my personal assistant said and I nodded my head in approval. Wait, did he say my meeting with Fiona Ivor? I looked at the papers in front of me and noticed her name on the top file. I took out the agreement paper my aunt had left and smiled to myself.

"Oh this is good! Right after that meeting, I'm going to break the news to her. Destiny, you truly work in mysterious ways." I said to myself before picking the file and paper, and headed towards the meeting office.

"Prepare yourself Fiona Ivor, you are about to be engaged to your worst nightmare." I murmured silently before sitting down and looking at the door, waiting for her to walk in.

Fiona's POV

"Are you really sure we are supposed to be here....I mean perhaps this is the wrong company..." I asked Em and she rolled her eyes at me and crossed her arms.

"Fiona, for the tenth time, yes........this is the right company. Can we go now?" She emphasised on the yes and I looked at her, my heart and mind warning me against entering his territory. Just when I was about to shake my head, Em caught my hand and pulled me into the elevator. "You should have run for the hills when you had the chance." my subconscious said and I murmured back, "Not helping."

It wasn't long before the elevator reached the twentieth floor and Em continued pulling me until we arrived at a door. "Remember, you are Fiona Ivor. Everyone loves you and trust me, everything will turn out okay."

Em....I appreciate your vote of confidence but have you met Sebastian Rockwell before cause I have and trust me, he isn't the friendly type....I wanted to tell her those words but I instead nodded my head.

I took in a heavy breathe before opening the door and scanning my eyes for him but unluckily, he was the first one I recognised and to make matters worse, I was to sit beside him during the whole presentation.

"Okay Fiona......it's a business meeting only and nothing more.....he can't touch you. Just walk in there, keep your head up and concentrate on the presentations." I told myself calmly as I walked in front of the table, trying my best to avoid eye contact with him which was hard since he was looking at me, his stare cold and I could feel hairs behind my neck erect.

Once Em and I had taken our seats, Sebastian stood up and from my side, I could smell his cologne. Fiona, where are your thoughts running to right now? "The meeting may start but before that, I'd like Miss Fiona to say something." I looked at him, eyes wide open in surprise and he only raised an eyebrow at me. I swallowed hard before standing up.

"Umm.......good morning everyone. I look forward to having the best results since you are the best company...." I looked at Em who gave me a thumbs up and I looked at Sebastian whose eyes never left me for a minute. As soon as our eyes met, he seemed to snap from his wonderland and looked forward, signalling the meeting to begin.

We sat at the same time and as much as I wanted to concentrate, I couldn't help stealing glances at him, his shoulder length blonde hair which was neatly combed backwards, his emerald green eyes and his single dimple which was visible without him even smiling on his left cheek. Fi......concentrate and stop admiring Sebastian for goodness sake.

Sebastian's POV

As the meeting was continuing, I noticed she was looking at me from time to time but I ignored that. As soon as the presentation was over, everyone looked at Fiona but it seemed she was somewhere else. I knew I was expected to call to her attention but I really didn't want to. I cleared my throat and she looked at me then to the presenter. She was asked for her opinion and she simply said that it was good.

"If it's good, then we will make a better one. It has to be the best. The meeting is closed but in two weeks time, I want a better results, is that clear?" Everyone nodded and left. Just when Fiona was about to leave, I grabbed her hand. "We haven't finished 'our' meeting yet I'm afraid." I said and I could see her eyebrows furrow in confusion.

She shifted a bit in her seat before looking at me. I released her hand and looked around, making sure we were alone. Luckily, no one else was in the room. I handed her the paper and she looked at it. "It seems that my grandfather had a deal with yours, that our families may be united through marriage. It was made clear that a Rockwell who ran the company would marry the first child in the Ivor family. Once my dad ran it, your family didn't have a daughter to be married to him. So, the deal goes unto me and if I'm correct, you are the first daughter of your family."

She looked at me then at the paper in her hands. She shook her head before standing up and looking through the windows before looking at me once again.

Fiona's POV

No....this had to be a scam! I mean why on earth didn't my dad tell me about this before? I looked at him, his expression still cold and unreadable. I looked at the paper and I could see my late grandfather's signature which I remembered clearly. "No, this can't be! My grandfather would never make a deal that would affect his family. No! This is some kind of skim your are cooking up to make your revenge."

He simply looked at me and stood up, walking towards me and pushing me towards the wall. Once my back rested on the cold panes, he placed both his hands on the pane, blocking me. His stare was so cold and I couldn't read what he was thinking about at all.

"Listen and listen carefully. As much as I want to 'fulfil my promise' to you, I have to fulfil my grandfather's wishes first, and I hope you do the same. It's only after the wedding that I will start fulfilling my promise slowly, torturing you and making your life a living hell. So don't have any silly ideas that I will learn to love you cause right now, I'd rather marry a serial killer than you."

His last statement pierced my heart and I wondered why it affected me when it was clear that we both hated each other. Even though, a tear managed to escape my eyes. He looked directly into my eyes before slowly walking back, giving me space to breath since I had unknowingly held my breathe.

I looked at him before walking out as fast as I could, wiping the tears rolling down my cheeks. Why on earth I'm I crying? Fiona, hold yourself together for goodness sake! If he sees you in this state, he's going to take advantage you and hurt you even more. Be strong and show him that it's you who would make his life a living hell. I said to myself as I walked to the limo.

"Where have you been Fi? I've been waiting for a while." Em said but I ignored her, my mind too occupied with the next move to make. I entered the limo and Em quickly followed me. "Steve....to my parents' house.....quick" I said and he said a quick yes ma'am before coughing up the engine.

"Fi....what's wrong?" Em asked and suddenly, I broke down and cried on her shoulder. She patted my back slowly, ensuring me that everything would be alright eve though I knew it wouldn't.
