For once in his life, Jason did thank the Gods, not the typical "Oh thank the gods you're alive or thank the gods we made it, this was more of a "Thank the gods for this amazing life I have"
Sure demigods don't have amazing lives, They undergo a painful process of quests, wars, bloodshed and monsters. But for Jason Grace today he probably worshiped and thanked every olympian god for
1 Giving him amazing friends, (And a girlfriend)2 For him being to able to reach the age of 23. "Happy Bday" his friends cheered as Leo set down a big blue sponge cake in front of him.
Reyna insisted they threw a banquet to celebrate his birthday and here they are now, all of his friends from camp Jupiter and Camp half-blood was there and everything was just too perfect.
"All right present time" Percy announced as he handed Jason a poorly wrapped box, Jason eyed his cousin suspiciously "Percy? If this is a prank"
But the son of Poseidon laughed "It's not" he insisted "AnnaBeth picked that out"
Jason raised a brow before tear open the present, revealing a silver locket. He stared at the accessory before opening it, inside the two piece locket was a picture of him and Reyna both wearing their Camp half blood shirt.
"Thank you" he breathed and Both Percy and AnnaBeth gave him a nudge on the shoulder as a sign of "You're welcome"
"My turn" Thalia said as he threw Jason a box, containing some pictures of Jason as a baby and everyone burst laughing at that. Fast forward where everyone of his friend had handed him a gift and let's not talk about Leo giving him some forever 21 boxers, He turned to his girlfriend "Looks you're the last babe" he grinned as he laced his fingers into hers. Reyna smiled and handed him a small rectangular container. Jason raised his brow "Woah you're proposing to me too?" he joked and Reyna rolled her eyes at that "Just open it airhead, you'll be in a surprise" she said smiling
Jason smiled back at her and he quickly lifted the small lid of the box, at first he was confused, a white thick stick with two red lines was gently pressed neatly inside the box. It took seconds for him to realize it was a pregnancy test.
"Gods" he grinned, "Oh my gods Reyna I love you so much" he stood up and gave his girlfriend a tight hug. "I really love you Reyna Avila Ramirez Arellano". Reyna blushed as Jason kissed her gently on the lips, "Uh what did she get you?" Thalia asked confused, Jason grinned wider as he showed his sister and friends the white stick. "Oh my gods" AnnaBeth squealed.
"Holy Hera" Leo gasped at the same time. "You guys, this is so exciting, Congratulations" Percy said as he both pulled his friends into a hug.
"You know what this means praetors" Dakota giggled as he held up 2 bottles of Kool-Aid "It's celebration time"
"Oh I'm not drinking" Reyna said quickly and Jason gave her a hand a light squeeze
"Well you can't but we can" Thalia whooped as she reached for the shot glasses "Pour me some Kota"
The rest also followed lead, Jason turned to Reyna "Best birthday present ever" he whispered, Reyna laughed as she gave a peck on Jason's cheek "I'm glad"
He smiled as he put a protective arm against Reyna's flat midriff. And from that minute he thanked the gods again, he thanked them that his world just fitted between his hands.
