4 times Reyna got Jason's back and the one time he got hers.
1.
Jason Grace gripped his imperial gold sword with his right hand while the other one signaled his best friend to stay put.
"Jason we need to move" Reyna yelled shoving him aside their hiding place.
Jason placed a finger to his lips to tell her to shut up.
Reyna frowned at him but obeyed "were outnumbered" she stated as she twirled the dagger on her hands.
Jason nodded as he glanced up to see the chaos lying just behind the boulders.
"When we get out there, I'll summon lightning to strike him out" Jason said gesturing to the giant
monster waiting for them at the other side "I need you to distract him just in time for me to deliver the blow" he instructed.
Reyna gave a quick nod "Understood" she said.
A loud roar echoed the grounds that both of them rolled themselves out of the boulders to face the monster
"Heads up" Jason yelled over his shoulder as he ran towards the end of the cliff to call out some lightning
"I got you" Reyna called back as she waved her dagger in front of the one eyed monster

A quizzical eyebrow was raised as Jason strode in their office
"What's with the face Grace?" Reyna questions facing her colleague
"Um I I just" Jason stuttered rubbing the nape of his neck "it's Dakota's birthday and" he pointed to his pile of paperworks "Heads up?" He asks grinning sheepishly at his fellow praetor
"Oh Jason" Reyna sighed as she eyed Jason's paperwork "You want me to sign them for you?" She asks unamused
"Please?" The blond pleaded as he strode towards her to show his famous puppy dogs eyes.
Reyna gazed at his blue shiny orbs before swatting his face away.
"Fine" she grumbled rolling her eyes "I got you"
Jason beamed "You're the best"
Reyna rolled her eyes at him again "You owe me big time"
A laugh came out of her colleague's mouth before he leaned down to kiss Reyna's cheek.
"I know" he whispered, he straightened his composure then walked away and Reyna thanked the gods above he didn't saw her blush.

It was the sound of her door opening that jolted Reyna awake, she carefully reached for her dagger only to be stopped by a familiar touch.
She whipped her head only to be greeted by big blue eyes
"Jason?" she whispers tenderly as the blue eyed boy leaned down to sit on her mattress
"Jace?" She asks again
He ignored her question as he leaned in closer, completely invading her personal space.
For a while none of them spoke, they were just there holding each other like their lives depended on it.
"I just dreamt I was taken away from you" he said breaking the silence
Reyna tilted her head to meet his gaze
"I'm not going anywhere" she assured
But Jason shook his head vigorously "I think I was the one leaving"
Reyna pressed her lips to his collarbone "its just a dream Jace I'm right here" she whispered
Jason relaxed his shoulders and hugged her tighter.
Silence fell again between the two praetors before Jason spoke again
"Heads up?" Jason asked
"I got you" Reyna murmured against his skin.

She was hurt, no hurt doesn't seem to cover it she was devastated, heartbroken and most of all she felt betrayed.
It was bad enough that Jason didn't remember her but to flaunt off his new girlfriend to her face was just heartbreaking.
But she still played her cool like the true queen of Rome that she is.
She welcome and discussed battle strategies with the greeks and she also made conversations with him about the Gaea war.
And as days of training bled into months the war came and here they both were, fighting side by side again in the battlefield.
"You doing ok there Grace?" She called out to him.
Jason turned to her and gave a quick nod.
Reyna frowned back at him realizing that this Jason beside her was not her best friend
His fighting stance was not proud and confident and clearly not Roman.
He fought monsters carelessly not bothering of thinking a battle plan. She frowned deeper knowing that this Jason doesn't even remember fighting side by side with her.
She was snapped out of her thoughts when Jason turned to her again.
He jerked his head to the left where a cyclops was fast approaching
"Heads up?" He asked
Reyna froze and stared at him in disbelief
Jason locked eyes with her then finally she had managed to say
"I got you"

Jason Grace heaved a shaky breath as he glanced up to see tons of lifeless body lay in the battlefield. Both monsters and demigods.
Then suddenly he saw her.
Her best friend all bruised and covered with blood but to Jason she was so beautiful, so powerful and so Roman.
She limply made her way towards him, clutching her bleeding abdomen.
"Rey" he ushered towards her
"Hey Jace" she smiled.
"You're bleeding" he stated gesturing towards her stomach
Reyna winced "I guess I am"
She stumbled a bit but Jason caught her
"Let's get you to Will" he said heaving her right arm around his shoulders.
She made a grunting noise of agreement before she allowed Jason to hoist her up.
"Hey Jace?" She asks quietly as they both made their way to the borders of camp half blood
"Hmm?" Jason responded.
"Heads up" she muttered tiredly,
And when she was about to slip into unconsciousness she felt Jason kissed her head and whispered an "I got you"
