I woke up to he sound of 5 ringing clocks, and I groaned at the chip chrip of the little birds in one of the clocks.

I rolled out of bed, my feet touching the cold wooden floor boards as I made my way over to my dresser to get dressed. After I got my clothes on, I walked down the stairs and entered my livingroom.

I walked over to my furnace but when I did, loud banging on the door came to my attention. I let out a sight as I slipped on my shoes and walked downstairs.

I entered the workshop and I could see one of my friends waiting outside the door. I let out a sight as I also let in David. "Mornin' Brock." he said as he shut the door behind him. I only hummed in reply and I perched myself up on the counter top.

He leaned back on the wall crossing his arms.  we stayed quite for a few minutes before David straighten himself and spoke up. "Brock, even for a person who doesn't have to work as much as you I can easily tell you work way to much." I looked at him with a look on my face. I didn't work that much. Do I? "David. Were are you coming from." I asked and he let out a small quite chuckle.

"Well uh. Its spring time and the weathers great so I thought we could go on a adventure. You know like when we were kids." Now it was my turn to give out a small chuckle. "We didn't know each other as kids. You didn't even live in the same place as me." "Well, didn't you go out as a kid and go adventuring." I sighed as he made his way over to me on the counter top. "I guess your right but I still don't understand why you didn't want Lui to go with you. "Well he was busy and plus we don't hang out as much. You kinda just isolated yourself after the-" "Yes yes I know David." I snapped at him then sighed as the old some forgotten memories came flooding into memory. I looked out the window to see the women from the other day come by the store wanting to come in. "Alright come over after work hours and we can talk. okay?" he hummed why shaking his head excitedly.

He patted my back before leaving and the women came in. David didn't notice the woman and neither did she. "Hello mam'. Need anything fixed? " She flashed a smile as she put here hands on top the counter to show that they were empty. I'm sure I had a confused looked on my face cause he let out a laugh and spoke "Actually I came to see you." I could feel heat come off my checks as the woman came and grabbed my hands. As much as I wanted to complete the old memory with a smile and other good memories of Lauren and me. I shook my head and she was good with a blink.

I let out a sight as I rubbed my eyes so the threatening tears wouldn't run down my face. "Two years" I whispered and another costumer waked in holding two clocks. i flashed a smile his way to cover up any sadness that was left in the air.

.....

I rubbed my head as I leaned my weight on the counter. It was a busy day and you wouldn't believe how many people actually drop there clocks. I walked to my door and turned over the open sign to the closed sight. I decided to wait in the workshop while I wait for David.

I sat in a chair I had set up for any customers that would wait in the shop. I was fiddling with my thumbs before a yawn escaped from my lips. my eyes started to drupe as they fulling closed.

I flinched as I was shook awake. I looked up and was relived when Iooked up to see David but he had an upset look on his face. "Uh. I guess I fell asleep uh?" I chuckled but Davids look remained the same. "Brock I'm really am worried about you. You work to much and I' m pretty sure you barely get any sleep. "And who do you know if I don't sleep a lot?" "Well one is that you fell asleep waiting for me and we can see the light on at one in the mornin' " I rolled my eyes not wanting to take anymore because I already knew I lose.

"Do you want to talk or not." I said looking any were besides him. i heard him let out a sigh which was also replaced by a smile.

We walked upstairs and he sat down on the couch while I cooked up some more tea. I sat down next down in front of him sitting down in mt beloved seat. "Okay first things first are you going?" A sign and a nod of my head. I probably didn't have another choice without me and David getting in an argument. "Alright, we are going to Woodchuck cave." i scoffed at him. "Why that cave. Didn't you hear about the accident. A man got killed there by getting collapsed in." "Pfft, that never happend. I checked the cave not to long ago. Its fine." He said leaning back. "Plus I never been to that cave. It seems really neat." He included.

I shook my head knowing how careless he can be but it should be fine. Right? Yeah Its just a cave anyway. "Fine. When will we leave?"
