January 16, 1886.

Evan Fong.

I read the page another time before I let out a sigh. I loved this book and had it ever since I was little.

I sat up from the counter I was leaning on, once I heard the ring of a bell and a door hitting up against the wood.

A customer came in and walked up clise to the counter. "Hello ma'am, and what will I be helping you with?" I said and she out a clock onto the counter, and pushed it slightly towards me.

"I bought this clock off a busker up street. It was a lovely clock so I bought it. But when I got home, the hands of the clock fell off, and I couldn't put them back." She saud and extended her hand out to reveal the two hands.

I hummed while I picked it up and put it in the back. I could see the woman standing there, not knowing what to do, and I let out a small chuckle. "Please sit. I'll have this done in, let's say, 4 minutes?"

"Okay" I heard the woman say, and put the clock on my workshop table. Really I only needed one minute tops to fix this, but seeing that nothing else was brocken I might as well shine the glass and metal of the clock.

°°°

After I was done polishing the clock, I turned back around to see the woman still sitting there. I smiled as I walked back up to the countern and placed the clock back up on the counter.

"Here you go ma'am. It is a very lovely clock." I say, she walks towards the counter, and takes her clock. "Thank you, and how much would I be paying." I think about it before smiling and let out a small chuckle "That won't be necessary. It's free ma'am." "Really?" I nod my head In agreement "Really."

A smile made itself known on her face "Thank yoy sir." "No problem." I say and she ealks away, and she gives me a small wave before leaving.

I let out another sigh, and as I did I heard the dongs and dings of the many clock that were in my workshop. I looked out the window as I saw the purples and pinks of the setting sky.

I walked up to the wooden door that held the open and closed sign. I turned the sign to the closed side. I then locked the door, and head up to my apartment.

My apartment stayed right above the workshop, and I was happy for it.

I walked up the stairs, and entered the small living-room. I walked up to one of my chairs that was placed infrount of my fireplace.

I had taken my book before I left the shop, and I placed it next to me on the arm of the chair. I got up, and went to the furnace and put a kettle full of water above it.

Once the water started to boil I put a teabag into the kettle. I walked back to the chair grabed the book of the arm and read while I wait.

°°°
I yawned and stretched in my chairb earning a small squeak from it. I got up and looked over at my clock. 12:07. I let out a sigh as I walked up a couple more stairs to reach my bedroom. I slipped into my, not so comfy bed, and soon drifted off to sleep.
