This is it. It's 11:55 pm on January 16, 2010. The night right before my 18th birthday. I can't stop fidgeting, glancing at the clock every 20-30 seconds. It's finally here! I think to myself excitedly. As soon as I'm 18, I can find my mate. All week my wolf has been desperately trying to figure our who our mate will be. The man (or woman) who will love us and live with us for the rest of our lives. Even thinking about it gives me goosebumps. What if my mate is a girl? How will I have children?? Mom really wants to be a grandma.... no! stop thinking that way ivory! You'll be fine! I mean like you've never been into girls before... Why now? I glance back at the clock 11:59 PM I almost scream. It's finally here.

"C'mon dude! it'll be hilarious!!"

"yeah don't be a wuss!!"

"Will you both shut up?!" I yell in anger. The two pups immediately back away in submission.

"Look, I'm busy right now. Maybe later okay?" I say in fustration. They both immediately perk up in joy.

"Okay!"

"Yeah, see you later!!"

I chuckle. Such cute little pups... I shouldn't have yelled at them earlier they were only trying to impress me, I am their alpha after all.

A girl passes me as I walk down the street. Mate?! My wolf immediately says frantically. He whimpers when she isn't. Look, I'm sorry that girl isn't our mate but how about we go for a run? that'll make you feel better, right? I say trying to cheer him up. Run! Run! Ruuuuuun!!!! he screams. Calm it! Let me get to the forest first okay?!

Hey guys quick little update. sorry for not posting, I have two reasons, 1 I've been busy and 2 Ive been a little down in the dumps lately so I haven't been wanting to write. sorry. hopefully I'll be able to update some more soon!!
