It was now late afternoon. Sarah was on her way to the edge of town. She had been been challenged to do. A documentary about the Walker Sanitarium for a class project. Professor Warden and Sarah had always been at it. It was a witty verbal joust every time they were in the presence of each other. She'd dropped her kids off with her folks for the weekend. They knew she had a lot of school work for her colleges classes. She didn't tell them where she was going. They would've definitely disapproved. She just didn't want to hear it. So, she just didn't. Tell them. Being a single mom is hard. She just needed a little break. This project would be fun. She loved haunted, abandoned, old dilapidated buildings.
She pulled you to the from of the condemned Sanitarium. The sun would be going down. 'Perfect timing.' She thought to herself. She still had time to take a bunch of photos and videos while it was still light. The cr33py fun would come in the dark.
While she was gathering her things from the car, another car pulled up behind hers.
Sarah turned in surprise. She half expected a police car. It was Professor Warden.
"Henry. What are you doing here?" He got out of the car. "To be honest, I didn't think you would show. I was going to take a few of my own photos to show the class." Sarah gave him a smirk. "Oh! You thought you would show me up. Huh?" "Well......" He threw his own smirk at her. "Well, I'm here. Are you still staying?" "After dark, you might be sorry I left." He smiled as he said. "You can stay if you want. I never said you couldn't." He smiled a wicked smile.
You began snapping photos. He saw your one of your notebooks. The cover read 'Replace Fear Of The Unknown With Curiosity'. He wondered what she would do when the dark came.
