I got home
"See you at school tomorrow" I said waving to Tom
"See you tomorrow" Tom said soon driving away. I walked into the house.
"Finally! Now make dinner!" My step dad yelled taking a sip of beer. I rolled my eyes and went to the kitchen. I started to make pasta. When I was done I brought it out to my "family" and they started to eat. I walked back to the kitchen because I needed this meal. I had been in the hospital for days and all I had was hospital food which is healthy but disgusting! I sat down at the small island in the kitchen and started to eat. It tastes so much better then hospital food.

Next day———————————————

"Wake up you you little shit" Liz yelled banging on the door with her fist. I got up and got dressed for school. Once I was finished I walked to the kitchen and started to make breakfast. I made bacon, eggs, and biscuits. The rest finally came down. I gave them their food.
"Am I allowed to leave early?" I asked
"FINE! Just get OUT!" Step dad yelled at me. I smiled and walked out the door. But then I thought to myself what was that about? Who knows and I really don't care. I walked the route to the school. Once I got there I went to the library to find me a book. I looked around for a while and finally found a book called 'Wonder' and went to check it out. I was actually really good friends with the librarian because she was Lana's grandma and me and Lana had been best friends since we were 2. Or as we like to say it 'we've been friends since before we stoped eating dirt'. I walked over to her.
"Hello Emilie" she said
"Hello, how have you been?" I asked
"Good, good busy but good here let me got that for you" She said taking my book and scanning it.
"Thank you" I said as she handed me the book
"How do you not have a boyfriend Emilie?" She asked
"Well first I haven't really thought about dating, two my 'parents' would kill me, and three not many people like how strange I am" I said shrugging
"Phft... they don't know what their missing" she said. I laughed slightly at how she was like family and wanted me to date.
"Bye" I said grabbing my backpack and walking out and to the gym. I walked in to see my friends playing volleyball but no Tom. He'll show up later. I walked over to my friends and we started to play volleyball.
"So you feeling ok?" Lily asked
"YuP" I said poping the P
"Ok we just don't want you to hurt yourself" Lana said. They nodded agreeing
"You all know I could beat you in my sleep, I won't hurt myself playing volleyball" I said spinning the volleyball on my finger
"Do you want to test that" I heard Riley say from behind me. Riley was the Volleyball captain she always led our school to victory.
"As long as you don't mind losing" I said. Everyone started laughing at her and saying 'ohh...'
"Fine you versus the volleyball team" Riley said
"Ok" I said smirking. They got into position by now everyone was paying attention and wanted to see if I could actually beat them.
We played...

I won of course I don't lose at volleyball. All I know is their faces were priceless.
"Your on the team now" one of the girls on the team said.
"Sorry can't" I said walking away feeling like a champ! Probably because I am! Then the bell rang.
I walked out the door. Everyone started cheering
"Emilie! Emilie! Emilie!"
I laughed as people walked by and patted me on the back. Me and my friends were laughing so hard. I walked into home room to see Tom talking to some people.

The bell rang and I zoomed out of class and to the library to return my book and find another one. I got there.
"Ready to return it took you longer then usual" Mrs Paulson said
"Yeah I figured I shouldn't leave my classes like usual because I missed like an entire week" I said handing her the book and I quickly ran to the book shelf where I found 'Wonder' and found a book that it was the same story but three more chapters. I took it and walked over to her. She checked it out for me and I went over to the sitting room and started to read. When I finished I looked at my watch it was 3 in the afternoon. I got up and returned it and walked out to see Tom and my friends standing there.
"Hey guys" I said smiling
"Hey lets go" Lily said. We started to walk and soon reached our houses. I took the long way to my house and when I finally got there. I was not welcomed at all...
