Your POV
I woke up the next morning to a 'goodbye, ma chèrie. I'll see you in a few weeks.' with a swift peck on the cheek. Before he left I ran downstairs in nothing but the tee shirt I was sleeping in and my underwear. I lunged into a hug.
I know he was only gonna be gone for a few weeks, which meant a little bit more than a month. But it still felt like forever. He smiled, I heard a chuckle too. I looked at him, he put his hand on my chin and rested his forehead on mine. Eventually our lips touched.
"Okay. I love you, but I seriously need to go." I watched as he put his hat on and walking out the door.
"Bye" I said faintly as the door closed. The apartment rang with a deafening silence, until Kace awoke. I heard him on the baby monitor.
"Daddy?" He said. I walked into the room and smiled at him as he grinned when he saw me.
"Daddy" I paused and picked him up. "Is at work." He looked at me. "I know I don't like it either."daddy
