The nights were long, but worth it. Effie was definitely the thing that was worth being up at 2 am just to feed and cuddle back to sleep.
Emerson wasn't taking the lack of sleep so well, he was definitely tired but he was sometimes irritated and just all the fun stuff about not having sleep. But Effie wasn't the worst at not sleeping.
There were nights where she would sleep mainly through the whole night, only waking up once or twice. And then there were nights where she would wake up ten times or more.
Emerson definitely loved her, maybe even more than I did. He always wanted to hold her and dress her. Kace would sit with us while he watched us take care of Effie.
This was the perfect family I had hoped for when I was little, a great boyfriend and two lovely children.
