(Chapter 7)(falling again)
(Joy's p.o.v)
Sarah had brought me back to brant's , late that night.
" thanks Sarah,have fun at the beach, this week". I say getting out of the car. " I will".she says. I walk inside. I dropped my bag in the floor. "Jack". I say. No answer.
" Jack". I say again. I walked back to brant's bedroom. Brantley was asleep in his bed. "BG ". I say. He continued to snore. I walked closer to the bed. "B" I drawled. Still nothing. I smiled and rolled my eyes. I walked over and leaned down. I kissed Brantley's cheek. Still he slept unmoving. I giggled knowing exactly what would wake him. I then jumped on him attacking him with gentle kisses. He laughed . " okay, okay, alright , okay"! He said laughing . He rolled over , he laid on his back . He looked up at me as I sat on his abdomen. " where's Jack"? I ask.
(Brantley's p.o.v)
Damn I knew she would ask that.
But god the way she looked at me brought back so many memories of us being in the bed together.
"B"? She asked. " sorry darlin', jack left a while ago , he got mad at me, I don't know where he went off to". I say.
She laid her body upon mine, propping herself up with her elbows. "We gotta find him, and why'd he get mad?". She asks.
" he was watching the videos , we made and /"
She cut me off. " HE FOUND NUMBER 7!!!!" She practically screamed.
" no, baby he was watching the others and I asked if he had watched all 7 and he said he only found six./
She placed her hand to my mouth silencing me. " I got it". She says, to tell me she got the point.
Then the door to my bedroom opened and there stood jack .
" what's going on in here". Jack asked . I looked at joy, she looked down at me. " um, uh , Jackie I /
She began, but jack cut her off.
"No!"jack said. " how could you". He said swallowing hard, and looking straight at me. " Man, she came in here to/
"No, I'm done with this shit". "She can just come to you from now on"." You two can live here, live that life you wanted, ". Jack said. He stormed out of the house, joy and me both trying to stop him.
But to no avail . Jack was gone .
Joy had cried herself to sleep, laying there upon my bare chest.
The next morning, I woke to the sunlight in my eyes. I looked down to find joy laying on me. I shake her shoulder, her eyes fluttered open, revealing her beautiful turquoise eyes. " jack?" She asked. " no, darlin' it's me". I say.
She smiled but remembered that jack had left yesterday. She looked as if she were going to cry again. "No baby, don't , don't cry please". I say. Trying to stop her from falling apart . I sat up leaning back against the headboard. She crumbled in my arms and began to cry. She sat in my lap, with her head against my chest.
" hey, shhhhhh, " I say rocking her back and forth in my arms. " how bout I fix you some breakfast". I say. She smiled whipping the tears off her face, she nods. She got up and walked barefooted into the kitchen. I flung the bed sheets off of me, I followed her. She sat on the counter swinging her legs over the edge like a mermaid's tail.
I grab things out of the cabinets, I figured I could fix her a nice breakfast, to get her mind off things. I started fixing everything, but as usual she would distract me. She took my hat off , and put it on her head backwards, same way I wore it. " whose the BG Nation Boss now". She says. I smiled,
" nice try". I say taking my hat back. She smiled. "B, when do you have to go back on tour. "?
She asks. I thought for a while. " in 2 months". I say. She frowns .
"Oh". She says sadly. " I know, I'm gone miss ya"." but baby, you'll have jack". I say.
" but I don't care, I love you ". She says. My stomach twisted, and I saw her pretty eyes sparkle.
" darlin' jack is in love with you". I say. "If he was so in love with me, he would have believed me when I told him nothing happened between us". She says.
