Overrun and Hopeless

The state of fear and panic was setting in the furniture store,  as The Keepers of Light were throwing a bunch of loud firecrackers at the building full of survivors, most likely to attract the horde's attention. In a short while, infected started banging on the metal fence, surrounding the back entrance, the boarded windows, and the front entrance. Janna ran upstairs, to check if the Keepers of Light were indeed the ones who were causing this. She ran up the stairs, hurried, almost tripping, and then peeked through the gaps between the planks barricading one of the windows. There was a car, marked with the KoL symbol, from which about 4 people were throwing firecrackers. That could only mean one thing. They found out about the shelter, and they weren't okay with it. She then ran back downstairs, to reunite with her group. Sarah was looking around, with an angry look on her face, combined with confusion and shock.

"What the fuck is going on?!" She asked, looking around, hearing various sound sources coming from outside.

You could read the fear in Derek's eyes, but he quickly snapped out of it, as he heard the front entrance planks creaking.

"The front entrance won't hold!" He yelled so the rest of his group could hear. "I'll go get the weapons!" He ran upstairs and entered another room to search for their weapons.

"Shit!" The planks that were holding the front entrance broke. The undead could now open the door at any moment. Sarah ran to it, pushing hard, with her shoulder against the door to keep it closed. "Someone come help me!" She yelled.

Eugene ran to help Sarah. He was pushing the door, with his shoulder, as Sarah was doing, but two people holding back tons of infected isn't quite the most comfortable thing to do. Janna was looking around, unable to do anything.

"They took my gun!" The red haired woman told Lindy, who had her eyes locked on a window that was about to break open. Patricia took all of her loot when she locked her up in that room. The golden haired teenager got her gun out, turned the safety off and pointed it forward. In a matter of seconds, the planks fell, and the undead broke in. The teen shot a couple of them, right between the eyes, making them fall down, without a breath. Their corpes blocked the window, so the other infected couldn't get through that easily. Lindy turned on the safety, and shoved the gun back in her pocket.

"Nice shot!" Janna cheered, giving the teen a warm smile, in the most unsuitable moment.

Eugene and Sarah were at their limit, the door almost bursted open, but Lindy and Janna quickly came to their aid. They started pushing the door too. Tony was nowhere to be seen though, but nobody noticed, since the situation was very heated.

Derek came running back to the downstair's hallway, holding a large, green duffel bag, which he then threw  on the floor, and unzipped it with ease. It was containing various weapons, as well as a ton of different clips and bullets, to suit each and every one of the firearms.

"Gear up!" The blonde man yelled, as he grabbed a black pistol and a clip from the large bag, and right in time. Another window broke, with a bunch of undead flowing in. He quickly turned the safety off the gun and shot them, blood splattering everywhere. Luckily, there weren't many infected at that window, so no more came in afterwards. But there were many more windows in the building, and many more undead, banging on them.

Janna gave Sarah and Eugene a signal with her eyes. She looked at the bag full of weapons, and then back at the people who were keeping the door locked. She wanted a weapon. Sarah noticed her desires.

"Go!" Sarah told the red haired girl, as she was pushing the door harder.

Janna nodded and quickly ran to the duffel bag. She shoved her arm in there, fishing for her gun and some ammo. Bingo! She found them. She then skilfully reloaded her clip and walked back to the door, to hold it back.
