"Why aren't you with Colin?"Greer inquired as we approached Lola.
I turned to see Colin kissing Mary's hand acting like quite the flirt.

"What's he doing with Mary?"

"She's his queen, he's just paying his respects."Lola said bitterly , eyes fixated on the couple .

Mary's eyes met with Lola's and filled with sympathy as she did so.

"Oh no, Lola.Aylee I want to go dance"Mary beamed.

"You can't dance alone."Aylee informed.

"I won't be alone."Mary said smiling ear to ear and making her way towards us.

"Lola dance with me."Mary said whilst grabbing our hands."take off your shoes come on, dance with me!"

Kenna joined us as we all took off our shoes and made our way to the centre of the room.
We all held hands and trotted around in circles, splitting up and getting back together again.
I hadn't had so much fun in ages!Feathers were dropping , it was amazing!!I saw that Mary had captured the eyes of both my older brothers, I felt so lucky to finally have friends like these, it could be lonely living without friends the same age and sex as you, I loved hanging out with Bash and sometimes Francis but they were busy doing 'boys' things a lot of the time.

"Look! Elisabeth and Phillip are leaving!"
"It's time for the consummation, the ritual,the ceremony, the mystery."Kenna informed.
"Aren't you curious?"Kenna added as she pulled my hand leading us away with the newly wed couple.

I felt Bash and Francis' eyes on me as I followed my new friends to watch my sister consummate her marriage, which now I think about it is very weird.

"Wait so they actually watch them , you know."Aylee asked sounding just as disgusted as I did.

"Well it's tradition."Lola said plainly.

"Well we're not allowed."

"Don't you want to know what your in for someday?"Kenna turned to me and Mary.

The priest said somethings I didn't understand as servants undressed my sister until she was only wearing her bed clothes ,we ducked further under the 'window' thing.
I felt horrible watching this, my sister looked so nervous and scared.

"We're the only ones that matter."Phillip said encouragingly to my sister.

"Let's go"Aylee uttered.

We all separated and ran through different places in the castle, seeing new things, new people.

[Time skip.]

I woke to the shrilling sound of Mary.
I rushed to her chambers to see her sitting on her bed shaking like a dog, I comforted her throughout the night and she slept in my bed with me.

She told me she left to see her ladies in the morning as I was getting ready to meet with my mother, I have no idea why but she said she just wanted to talk.

Colin was beheaded.
"There was nothing I could do about it, I tried Lola , we tried, y/n and I done everything we could to help but they said it was already done."Mary explained,
"We're really sorry Lola."I choked out, tears brewing at the edge of my eyelids.
