[Romeos pov.]

"I'm sorry y/n I need to go." I said sadly, culling her face with my hand and wiping her tears with my finger.

"Why?" She sobbed.

"Because the king said it's customer for every able-bodied man to war with the king." I smiled sympathetically "if I don't go he could have my head." I added, leaning in gently, sinking my lips down onto hers as I held her head through a passionate kiss.

[3rd person.]

Y/n and Catherine stood at the balcony watching the dozens of men walking out from one of the castles many openings below them dressed in full armour.

"Where's Bash?"Y/n asked leaning over a bit.

"Oh Sebastian's probably out riding at the front with the kind. Men must find something to kill from time to time. It's a pity they can't live harmoniously like women."Catherine replied bitterly

"Harmoniously?"

"Hmmm" Catherine hummed.

Y/n let out a big sigh and looked down.

"Oh What is it?" Catherine asked tucking her hair behind her ear gently.

"Oh it's nothing." The girl replied, trying to distance herself.

"It's that boy, isn't it?" Catherine said with an unreadable facial expression.

"What?" Milly asked quickly.

"I saw the way that boy looked at you,Romeo is it?" Catherine smirked "Are you two a thing."

"No." Y/n muttered quietly.

"You know, I would really love for me to be able to let you marry him and have little Romeo and Y/n's running around but it just isn't possible, he's a servant, Your a princess, your father would never allow it, we need alliances."

"I know." Y/n said sadly.

"Oh my dear child, don't be sad." Catherine said wiping her cheek bare of tears. "You should break it off soon, before you grow too attached." She added softly.
Y/n nodded slowly and walked off.

The count came with a lot of his men for a 'diplomatic' visit, whilst Y/n, Mary, Catherine and Francis stood in the throne room talking to the count things got very tense and weird.

"Y/n, Mary I need you to go upstairs. Now." Francis whispered to us.
The pair tried to move but one of the counts men pulled his sword out and shook his head.

"Count perhaps it's time to tell us why you're here. It's not a diplomatic visit." Francis said calmly.

"You're right, Dauphin. I've come for restitution. The conditions of my sons confinement were not ideal. Roberto was returned to me, yes, but he died of dysentery on his journey home."
Y/n made a disgusted face and Catherine elbowed her subtly.

"Count I'm so sorry." Catherine apologised.
"To outlive a child. The pain is... unimaginable."

"My wife is dead, I have no other children, I'm the last of my name. Am I not due satisfaction? Pleasure?" Count said eyeing Y/n at the end.

"Perhaps this conversation should be postponed until the kings return." Catherine spoke clearly.

"If I wanted to wait until the kings return I wouldn't have camped until the woods for three weeks, Why would I want the king to behead me for rape? And many other things?" Count said once again eyeing Y/n.
"You may leave with your life. That is all we can offer." Francis lunged forward angrily whipping his sword out.
