A/N: I'd honestly reccomend to listen to the song even if metal isn't your cup of tea as this song is a lovely piano-based piece for those why prefer softer, calmer tones.

Leslie 'Bull' Allan was an Australian strecher bearer who served in the Pacific, and his actions on Mount Tambu in New Guinea is something quite extraordinary.
During one day at the front he ran straight into enemy fire alone, time after time to pick up wounded American soliders.
12 times he went up the hill, and 12 times he came down with a wounded allied solider on his shoulder. For this selfless act he was awarded with the US Silver Star.
Sometimes war is killing
Sometimes it's saving lives
It's the judgement of faith
It's nothing that man can dictate
Corporal Leslie Allen carried them from Tambu
Saved his brothers in arms
when aura fallen through
There and back again
Bull just carried on
Under fire he carried them off one by one
There and back again
Bullets all around
All of the men he carried away
Twelve men would now live to see one more day
His fear held at bay
As he carried them away
Sometimes war is killing
Sometimes it's saving lives
From Australians shore
Bull Allen went to war
Sometimes war is saving
Sometimes it's taking lives
Thanks to one single man
A dozen more survived
There and back again
Bull just carried on
Under fire he carried them off one by one
There and back again
Bullets all around
All of the men he carried away
Twelve men would now live to see one more day
His fear held at bay
As he carried them away
Some men return from a war in a band
He yet the world knows their story
Others return are willing ti brand
alive and a humble at heart
Nooooooo
There and back again
Bull just carried on
Under fire he carried them off one by one
There and back again
Bullets all around
All of the men he carried away
Twelve men would now live to see one more day
His fear held at bay
As he carried them away
Exact words from the earbook - I own nothing. I'd honestly reccomend to listen to the song even if metal isn't your cup of tea as this song is a lovely piano-based piece for those why prefer softer, calmer tones.
