My morning wasn't as good as usual. My head was aching because of hangover and the man whore who took advantage of my dizziness made it all worse. I had to take a much needed shower to sober up.
Today would be the arrival of my package from US. I needed to endorse everything to Manang Cecil since I had to buy stuff for my unit. I was literally running out of time.
I wore my favorite crop top paired with high waist jeans. I looked myself in the mirror and the view before me was simply breathtaking. This collaboration accentuated my curves without cinching my waist. It was revealing in the most classy way. Sexy yet elegant. One would stop to take a second look.
In my defense, I didn't wear this to attract attention. Being a model had completely changed my life; my attitude and pasion for fashion were part of the list. But unlike when in catwalk, a wipe of cheek tint was all I needed. But of course, my fierce red lipstick completed my whole looks.
It was almost lunch but I had no appetite. Eating together was a grown up practice within the family and as much as I would like to skip the meal, I had no choice but to go into the dining and join them.
They were complete at the table when I arrived. My eyes were practically stuck at the familiar figure joining my family for lunch. Escaping wasn't possible since everyone had noticed my presence in no time.
"You're just in time, honey. Com'on, Let's eat." I heard my mother but my attention wasn't there.
The stupid jerk was feeling at home, sitting cozily on the chair beside Nate. What the hell he was doing here? His house was only few blocks away and surely, they had food ready for lunch so I couldn't find reason why he needed to stay.
He winked when we met gazes that sent unwanted chills on my skin. It looked like I couldn't do anything to kick him out no matter how hard I'd protest. I hated the fact that I was forced to share the same table with him but I needed to endure his presence until lunch was over. The awkwardness that I felt was torturing me turbulently. All that was left was to curse him silently.
He took the seat that was supposed to be mine so I slid myself on the empty chair beside Madel.
"You look stunning, sissy. Going somewhere?" Madel queried, raking her vision over my body. I saw through the corner of my eyes that the stupid jerk was staring at me all along.
"Yeah! I have important matters to attend."
"You need driver? Just say and I'll drive you."
To my surprise, the uninvited visitor was the one who suggested. Not a spark of decency was present in his existence. When did he become part of our family? This was supposed to be a family conversation over the meal and he didn't have the littlest right to participate. I was disgusted by his mere presence and keeping his mouth shut was the least he could do not to displease me.
"No thanks, I can drive!" I rejected, rolling my eyes in irritation.
"You know you can't drive. You don't have license." Nate added while he smirked. What should I expect? I knew he wouldn't buy my reason but he should have just let it. At least, just for once.
These two when together could make my life miserable. They were the key ingredients to make the most horrifying ordeal of my life.
"Then I'll just book Grab, Nate!!" I snorted, stressing out his name full of disgust.
"I couldn't let that, honey. You know Rosaly? Your Aunt Brit's daughter. The driver almost molested her. Glad she had pepper spray and got away from the perv. Nate, drive for her" My mother declared authoritatively like I had no choice. She was on her motherly-duty mode once again, which I often didn't like about her. I loved her like no words could explain but her over-protectiveness was one of the few I detested about her. Had she forgotten? I frequently booked Grab since I came because I knew I couldn't drive.
