Virgil's POV:
"Y/n I don't know about this..." I told her as she scaled the wire fence. She tossed a grin over her shoulder at me. "Come on Virg! It'll be fun!" She hopped over the fence and landing in the Carnival grounds. I sighed and knowing my dare devil best friend could get into a lot of trouble I climbed the fence. She cheered and gave me a swift hug before running off. I quickly followed and almost ran into her as she suddenly stopped. I glanced around at the old Carnival. It hasn't been used in years. Spray paint covered the sides of multiple shops and trash tumbled across the concrete. A warm Florida breeze made my hair sway. Y/n's hair doing the same. "Y/n what are you--" she spun around her bright e/c eyes sparking in the starlight. "I wanna climb the ferris wheel!" I blink hoping I heard her wrong. "What?" She pointed to the circular ride. "Y/n that's not a good idea I mean what if you fall what if someone sees you?" But she was already running towards it. "YOLO!" She howled back at me. I smiled slightly shaking my head. I jogged after her and by the time I had caught up to her she had already started the climb. "If I fall catch me ok!" She shouted. "Ok!" I called up. "If you die I'm telling your ghost told you so." I muttered before looking up at her progress. Then a horrible creak came from the ferris wheel. My head snapped up. Y/n screamed as she clung by one hand. "Y/N!" I yelled "let go! I'll catch you!" She had been joking when she had said that but now it was her only option. She closed her eyes and let go she free fell for a few moments before she dropped into my arms and I almost collapsed under her. I set her down her eyes still squeezed shut. "You can open your eyes now." She shook her head. So I pulled her into a hug and she nuzzled into me. I held back a blush. I held her for a while. We just stood there the warm breeze blowing our hair this way and that. She finally opened her big e/c eyes and said softly. "You saved me Virg." I glanced at the ground nervously. "Well saving girls is kinda Roman's thing." She laughed and it was like music flowing in my ears. She smiled. "Thank you Virgil." We walked out of the carnival and I realized I had fallen hard for my best friend. I sighed and followed her to her car feeling like a love sick puppy. Then the thought crossed my mind. Virgil you ARE a love sick puppy.
