Imagine: Finding out Loki's adopted at the same time that he does.
"He's adopted?" You whisper, not believing it.
His face said it all. He was full of utter disappointment and betrayal.
"No." He barely whispered. "No!"
"Loki-"
"You stole me after you murdered so many!? Why!? To have some sort of prize around you at all times to remind you of such a glorious day!?" He screamed at Odin.
Odin just sat on his throne, looking barely interested. "Yes, you are adopted. But that's is not the reason why I took you, Loki. You were going to die on that frozen rock, surrounded by the corpses of your people. I saved you."
"You did not save me. I did not need saving!" He stormed off.
You chased after him down the hall until you reached his room, sobs coming from inside.
"Loki? Loki, let me in. Please." You begged.
The door slightly opened and you saw him behind it, his face completely wet. Your eyes softened and he began crying again.
You walked in and took him into your arms. "Loki, it's okay. I'm here for you."
His sobs were so harsh that he couldn't even speak.
"You don't have to say anything. Just let it out. I'm not leaving anytime soon."
