Books. Just books. My favorite things in the entire world really. Muggle books specifically, they had a sort of wonder most wizard writers could never truly channel. So today was the day, the day my dream of being the owner of a muggle book store was coming true. I had been saving my money for years, doing odd jobs over the breaks from Hogwarts, finding any spare change I could, and sadly using the inheritance I gained from my mother when I turned 17. She had died a few months after I turned 15 and left me a good sum of money, just enough to keep me afloat for a while but I was only allowed to claim it when I became of age seeing as how my father had no use for it with him being a muggle and all.

I quit school the week I became old enough to. I couldn't stand another minute there with that horrible woman controlling the school. Surprisingly enough my head of house, Professor McGonagall, was very supportive of my desire to leave and filled all of the correct paperwork for me to graduate early. I also happened to be leaving around the same time as the Weasley twins. Their leaving the school was much more showy than mine, but I actually preferred it that way, it made us easier to leave without being bombarded with questions.

But today was the day, today was the day that my shop opened up and I officially became open for business. Honestly I got the space for a steal, the previous owner decided to move out because of the new shop next door, I however had no problem with it. Weasley Wizard Wheezes happened to be great shop neighbors.

The end of the Hogwarts term came and business boomed. The amount of muggle born kids from Hogwarts was the only reason my shop became popular, word spread fast and being the only book shop with muggle books seemed to make lots of people very happy. Surprisingly enough the twins shop next door was good for business next door, the younger kids would be next door shopping their heart out figuring out how to give Filch a heart attack, while the older kids or the parents would stop in by mine and pick up a book and maybe a cup of tea. I would have to Thank those boys somehow, maybe a cake?

The shop seemed busy but I still looked up every time the door opened just to see who came in and if I recognized them. Oddly enough what I saw didn't surprise me at all, a head of bushy brown hair came bounding in and straight towards me. "Hermione it's good to see you again." I smiled, Hermione was a good friend of mine and was also one of the main inspirations for my shop.

"Oh Y/N is so good to see you!" She smiled before pulling me into a tight hug. "How have you been?!" She asked after letting me go.

"Honestly, I've never been better." I smiled out, it was true. "Business is great and I'm very happy with it. Also Hermione I need to tell you something now before I forget."

"Okay shoot."

"Because of how much you helped me during my time at Hogwarts, the first few books you want are free of charge." I said as I watched the smile spreading across her face.
