the follow up survey

"Why are you upset, Taehyung? Please answer that question on the paper in front of you."

The pair were back in Yoongi's study. Taehyung was reluctant to leave his mother, but after confirmation that she was fine, he had to accompany Yoongi to do a questionnaire about his feelings.

Taehyung picked up his pencil and scratched out one word.

"Who do you hate the most? Write the answer down again."

Yoongi's voice was compelling. It distracted Taehyung so much that he began staring at his black shoes, wondering if he could hear it again if he didn't do anything.

"Taehyung."

He wrote down another word.

"And finally, who do you care for the most?"

Taehyung wrote down a long list of names. He had a lot of people that he loved. They made him happy, unlike a certain someone. Taehyung lay his pencil down and watched as Yoongi read through the three answers.

Taehyung looked at his glasses, and his eyes, how fast they were reading and guessing where he was reading. Then he was distracted. He brought a paperclip into his hands and started fiddling with it.

Yoongi hummed.

"So, you don't care for me then?" His voice sounded almost sad.

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because."

"Because what?"

"Because I fucking said so. What is this even for anyway, what are you trying to accomplish? This is bullshit."

Taehyung stabbed the paperclip into the chair. He could see Yoongi's eyes follow him as he walked over and held his hand on the doorknob. Taehyung grit his teeth.

"This is fucking locked, isn't it?"

Taehyung could hear Yoongi's shoes padding across the carpet. His voice got progressively closer as he spoke.

"We've been having these sessions for a month now. I know that you tend to leave whenever you want, but your mother wants me to help you, so-"

Yoongi's hand snaked around Taehyung's waist. There was a click, and then the door was swinging open. Taehyung was frozen.

"You won't be able to leave as easily from now on."
