A/N: Hey! This is my first story so sorry if it sucks. Anyway, comment what you think!
This one-shot is what could have happened if Regina hadn't turned back right outside the tavern.

Regina stood outside the tavern, the chilly wind making her shiver. The only warmth came fron the trail of green dust. The one who ended all around the man with the lion tatoo. She was afraid and thought about turning around and leaving. Then she remembered this was probably her last chance of having her happy ending and almost without thinking, she opened the door and walked in.

The only person that saw her was thet man, the one with the lion tatoo. Their eyes met. She got lost in his ocean eyes and he as well got lost in her chocolate brown ones. Regina blinked and turned her head away as she sat down. She saw the man standing up and ordering a drink on his way to her table. He sat down but Regina avoided eye contact. "Hello?" she asked a little rudely. "Hello, I haven't seen you here before. What's your name?" he spoke with a British accent. "Um..." Regina was lost for words "I am Robin of Locksley" he added when he saw that Regina did not know what to say. "Regina" she answered finally with a small smile.

They spoke for hours and soon they both knew a lot about eachother. Regina noticed she had never let her walls down so easily. When it was very late, Regina realised she had to go back to the castle, or her mother and Leopold would kill her. She told Robin she had to leave and he understood because Regina had told him about the terrible woman her mother was. "Regina?" He called before she left. She turned around with a smile. "Maybe we can meet tomorrow? Here?" Regina smiled even more. "Of course" she said and turned back before feeling a hand on her wrist. Before she could question him Robin crashed his lips into hers. Regina felt magic radiating frome where their lips where touching, her mind went blank with surprise before melting into the kiss and kissing him back. They kissed for a few seconds, enjoying each moment, forgetting their problems until a
scream coming from outside brought them back to reality. "I don't know! Really! I...AGH!" It was Tink. Robin took Regina's hand and they went outside to see what the commotion was about. Regina saw her mother torturing Tink outside. Regina's face reflected horror and immediately Robin knew this was Cora. Robin nodded at Regina before she ran back to the castle without being seen.

At the tavern, Robin saw Regina was far enough and said "May I ask what is wrong here?" "My daughter is missing and this fairy is responsible!" Cora screamed angrily. "May I ask her name?" Robin said respectfully but already knowing the answer "Regina" Cora spit out. "The beautiful young lady was here but left a few hours ago." Robin lied. He looked at the fairy and saw a smile on her face as if she was celebrating something. Cora left in a cloud of smoke.

After a few days of meeting with Robin at the tavern, Regina took her desition. Robin had been trying to talk her into escaping Mist Haven, building a new life somewhere else, like Arendelle or even Oz. Regina was tempted, but she knew she could not leave. He would get into trouble and if they were caught. And if they didn't work out? She would have gotten him in trouble for nothing. And she hadn't even told him the truth about her. And that was what she would tell him today. As always, Regina climbed the gates and walked to the tavern. She had learned it was usually cold there, so she had taken a cloak to protect herself from the cold. Robin was waiting for her on their usual spot, a table on the far corner, and as soon as he heard the door creak open, he looked up at her and smiled, revealing those dimples Regina had fallen so hard for. She sat down in front of him and leaned over the table to peck his lips softly. "I have an important confession to make" she announced after taking a deep breath. "And I understand if you don't want anything to do with me after I tell you." Robin's face grew worried. What could it be? A tear rolled down Regina's cheek and Robin gently brushed it away with his thumb before taking her hand. "You can tell me anything, Regina. It won't change the way I feel about you." he promised. Regina wanted to believe it so she did. "I'm- I'm the Queen" she confessed. Robin froze.

He was the first to meet the Queen. He had heard a lot about this gorgeous and mysterious queen. He knew she was never allowed out of the castle and he knew she always sat in a corner silently during balls or feasts. Some tales even said she was mute and cold. But that was nothing like the Regina he knew and loved.

"So?" he asked. "I still love you, Regina. I wouldn't leave you because of that." he told her, holding her hand and running his tumb over the back of her hand. "You- you love me?" Regina asked surprised. Robin blushed as he noticed what he had just said. "I do." he confirmed. Regina smiled "I love you too" she said. Then she kissed him, and while they were enjoying the taste of eachother, she knew everything would work.

And that she had found home.
