My light's gone dark
Light
Can you hear my plight
As I'm going deeper and deeper into the darkness
Maybe the light was always an illusion
An unsatisfactory fusion
Of my weak soul and feeble mind
But now the light's gone out
I don't notice it go out
In my inner eye, it's already dark
Now it's dark
Inside and out
The darkness outside now matches the one within
And now all I act on is a whim
I smile in darkness
The darkness has closed in
It's consuming everything, saint and sin
As the darkness closes in, I wave
Here for you, a spot I'll save
For my light that has gone dark
