Chapter 16- Time to Recover

Melanie's POV

Laying here in the hospital it gives me time to think about how much i regret not telling my brother i left. I feel pershally responsible for his death. 

"Hey Melanie, How are you doing?" Jane says as she walks into my room. 

"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" I couldn't find the strength to look at her.

My brother and her had dated since 8th grade. They met at our church camp and it was instant love.

"Don't think of me, you are the one everyone is worried about. Mel you really scared us. I'm so happy Marvin was home." Jane says giving me a big hug. 

"Jane, Did Josh think i hated him?" I ask started to tear up.

"It doesn't matter what he thought,  what matters is that he loved you so much, and he never wanted to see you like this ever again. So get better girl so i can take you out for a date." She says winking at me.

Jane and I were very close, since we both didn't have sisters it was fun to hang around eachother. She was really cool.

"I'm actually feeling really good, i wish they would let me see my other friends." I say powting

"Darling, I'm gonna bust you out of here, and by that I mean ask the nurse if its ok for you to go home." Jane says jokely.

"Jane, I live in London, with my boyfriend and his 4 best friends and Sarina."

"Wait you have a boyfriend?... wait LONDON?" Jane's eyes light up. "Tell me everything!"

"Haha well my boyfriend is Liam Payne, and his four best friends are Harry, Louis, Niall and Zayn." I say smileing hoping she will believe me.

"Are you high? You smoking pot? You better not be, i'd kill you." Jane smiled

"I'm not even kidding, Im the opening act for their concert." I say.

"I can't believe you didn't think it was important to tell me this before." Jane hit my arm.

"Ms. Block, you have 5 visitors." The doctor says

All of a sudden everyone piles into my room. Jane quicky stands up and has an awkward smile on her face. Louis runs over to her and give her a big bear hug.

"I'm so sorry for your lose." He says.

"Um, thank you." Jane awkwadly just stands there while Louis hugs her.

"Louis, release the nice women," Liam says. "Hey love how are you?"

"I'm fine, I just really wanna go home. I miss you guys." I say hugging Liam tightly.

I'm so sick of being in the same room, the white curitns, the white drapes, the white everything. It's annoying. I hated everything about this room.

"Well good news, they are letting you go, but they said i have to come with you. So can we stop by my apartment to pick some things up." Jane says walking back into the room.

"That's fine with us." Louis says.

Louis needs to stop hitting on Jane, she just lost her boyfriend and my brother.

*Jane's Apartment*

As we all walk into Janes place, we see a bunch of One Direction posters. It's kinda funny since i've been living with them for over a year now.

"Someone has a band crush." Niall blurts out.

"Yeah sorry about that.. I love your music." Jane says shyly

I love this. I'm finally close with Jane again and it gives me time to cope throuhg the lose of my brother.
