Elijah stepped into the building, and took note of the splintered wooden tables, chairs were strewn about the floor haphazardly. There was a person stood behind the bar, although person may be generous, as from what light filtered through cracks in the boarded-up windows, Elijah noticed scales that covered the man's body. A glint to them, due to the light. The figure hadn't noticed them yet, which Elijah appreciated, unsure of how the stranger would interact with intruders. Elijah stepped closer to the figure, though as they did they felt their foot catch on a en empty tankard, and soon the tankard had skid across the floor. It came to a stop with a metallic clang, that alerted the stranger to another person being in the room. The figure whipped around and took note of Elijah, and a smile widened on their face.

"Well hello there," the man spoke, "welcome to my humble establishment. May I ask what your here for? After all, not many people enter here due to the outward appearance." His voice seemed to make Elijah hang onto every word, he was charming or at least Elijah thought so. Through what little light streamed into the building, from various cracks and holes in the exterior. Elijah could tell the man they faced had silver scales. He seemed to also dwarf the bar, and room in general, as he was at least 7 foot in height, and seemed to be quite bulky. It also appeared that he knew his way around a fight, due to the scar that adorned the right side of his face.

"Uhm, actually, I'm looking for someone," Elijah couldn't tell why they were so forthcoming with their reasoning, "I was told they hang about here."

"Ah, there are several people this pub is home to, myself for starters. Balasar Norixius at your service, a humble barkeep who lives to please." Balasar bowed with a flourish, and a warm grin spread across his features.

"So, who are you looking for? There's Caelynn, a no holds-barred elf, who doesn't take anybody's shit, but makes a mean curry. Which I highly recommend you try.

"Then there's Riswynn, she's the resident baker, but don't let that fool you, she can throw a dagger faster than you or I could say 'pastries'.

"You can also find Leucis, he's a fiendling who kicks ass in almost any card or dice game you can think of. Don't trust him when he sings, though, otherwise you'll find yourself waking up in an alleyway, no clue how you got there, and missing all of your important gear. You'll at least walk away with your clothes if you're lucky.

"And finally, we have Sayle. Literally mousy, she'll run circles around you if you dared to take her on. So, who are we looking for, my friendly fellow?" Elijah had zoned out for most of Balasar's monologue, but perked up as they heard mention of Sayle.

"Yeah, Sayle, the mouse girl. I jut wanted to make sure she's okay, we bumped into each other and I just wanted to make sure she was safe." Elijah didn't mention the fact a wise old man by the name of Nelrim had suggested they follow Sayle. They would sound as though they'd need to be institutionalised if they did. No one would believe them about an old bearded man giving life advice, it was just too silly a concept.

"Oh that's sweet, is someone sweet on our dear Sayle? Riswynn! Come get this, someone has a crush on Sayle!" As Balasar called to the back, a crash could be heard, followed by several metal pots and pans, or so Elijah assumed, could be heard falling to the floor, and everyone heard a large crash as a dwarf stepped through the doorway.

"Shit, Balasar, you made me drop some cookies. You're gonna pa-" Riswynn cut herself short as she looked over Elijah.

"Is this them? How cute! We should tell Sayle. She'd love to know who has a crush on her." Elijah sighed, not sure what they'd just gotten themselves into.

"I don't have a crush on Sayle, I swear, I just wanted to make sure that she was safe." Elijah refuted their claims, though they could tell the pair had already made up their minds.
