Chapter 22

(3 weeks later)
**Scarlet's P.O.V**

Today we are going to court and i am so scared that i will lose Kyler! I don't know what i would do if i lose my baby. I don't know that i would be able to live!

I am currently getting ready for court and getting Kyler dressed. Ever since the incident in the mall happened. Luke hasn't been helping a lot like he was. He finally told me why we wasn't helping. He said he needed to get used to the feeling of him not being there. Because if Kyler gets taken he goes back to jail.

I am dressed and now it is time to get my munchkin ready. i got him dressed and now we are headed to the courthouse.

(Kyler)

We finally are here and i am so nervous! What if i never see my baby boy again! What if the judges think i am a horrible mom! What if they judge me on how i am dressed because they think i'd don't take this seriously! I am so nervous and i am becoming depressed and my anxiety is going through the roof right now! If Ethan takes him away from me i won't live! I can't live without him! I don't want to live without him. Ethan just walked into the room with Grayson and as soon as i see them they are in suits and already look more professional then i do! We make eye contact and i immediately look away feeling very intimidated.

**Grayson's P.O.V**

There she is looking beautiful as ever but looking so depressed and stressed! I told Ethan that he shouldn't do this and if he won that it would kill Scarlet.

"Dude look what you have done to her and she hasn't even tried to win this case... which i sure hope she does!" I whisper-shout to Ethan.

"Well she deserves this! Kyler doesn't need a mom like that!" He say in a mean deep voice.

"LIKE WHAT!" i yell

"She is putting him in danger and not taking care of him!" He yells.

I was going to say something but the judge walked in and slammed his gravel to get everyone's attention.

"We are here today for the battle of  the Custody of Kyler Bailey Thorne Johnson between Ethan Dolan and Scarlet Johnson!" She yells.

As soon as she slammed her gravel again i saw Scarlet jump and i hear Kyler start to cry. Scarlet immediately gives him his binki.

"Okay so we are here today to see who will win this custody battle. Now Mr. Dolan why do you think Kyler should be taken away from Ms. Johnson?" Judge Cindy asks.

"She is putting him in danger. She had him under the same roof of her ex that has raped her and abused her." He said with confidence.

"Is this true Ms. Johnson?" Judge Cindy asks

"Yes it is." She says in a small voice as the jury starts to whisper.

"I even have the background check of Mr. Luke Thorne." Ethan says.

"So he was put in jail for raping you but also shooting you? Is this correct?" She asks Scarlet.

"Yes it is your honor. But he was released from the jail to come and help me with the child." She says in a small voice as the jury starts to whisper and take notes once again.

She looks over at them and starts to breathe heavy.

"Now why do you think you should keep Kyler, Ms. Johnson?" Judge Cindy

"He is my life and i have taken care of him, i have made sure that he is healthy and i would never put him in danger. I even offered to lie to Luke's officer so that he wasn't in danger but he said that he wanted to be apart of this family and i let him because he had changed." She told truthfully.

"So you were willing to lie to the Law?" She asks Scar

"Yes your honor, i was." she says and the jury gasps.

"Okay i think i have enough support from both sides of the case. So a five minute recess and then we will discuss who will have custody over Kyler Bailey Thorne Johnson." She states and slammed her Gravel. Causing Scar to jump and Kyler to cry yet again.

i look at Scarlet as she picks up Kyler and walks out of the room and into the restroom.

**Scarlet's P.O.V**

I run into the bathroom with Kyler in my hands and just sink to the floor.

"I am so sorry baby, please know that mommy loves you and if she loses this that she will try her hardest to see you as much as she can!" I say with tears streaming down my face.

Kyler just looks up at my and smiles and starts to babble. I start to cry more as i bring Kyler up to my chest. I hear the door open and look up to see the Judge.

"Oh, i'm sorry I'll leave." She says .

"No,No, I have to go back to the courtroom anyways." i say trying to laugh it off. I get up and make sure Kyler is all situated and i leave the restroom.

I go to the mirror in the hallway and wipe underneath my eyes so that no one sees that i have been crying because then they could see me as weak and unfit to be a mother!

I walk back into the courtroom to see Ethan staring at me with a smirk on his face. I know he broke up with me but i want to know what i did to hurt him so much that he wants to hurt me in a way that i won't be able to recover from.

"Alright 5 minutes are up let's settle this!" I hear Judge Cindy say.

"Okay so the jury and i have decided on who is for enough to be the parent of this beautiful little boy." she says looking at me because i am still holding Kyler.

"We have decided that Mr. Dolan is fit enough to be the father, not only because he won't but this baby in danger but because he has a family that could help him with this beautiful baby boy. She says pointing to The dolan side of the court. I look at their side and see that he does have a family and i look on my side and see no one but Grayson....

"You will be able to have him one day throughout the week." She says to me and slams her Gravel down.

The cop comes over to take Kyler away from me.

"NO!" i scream

"YOU CANNOT TAKE HIM FROM ME!" I yell as he takes my baby away.

I go to run after him but other officers restrain me to the floor and handcuff me.

"LET ME GO! PLEASE! HES ALL I HAVE!" I scream at the top of my lungs.

I watch the officer hand Kyler to Ethan.....

This was the day my soul died.
