Ghost

It felt like we were together ; even if its just on certain days
Fooling around until someone catches feelings again

When we both wake up underneath the same sun
Time suddenly stops, I wish I could rewind

Feeling her lips locked around my own, only to imagine what her tongue would taste like
To fantasise what it'd be like, falling for her

Infatuated with her scent; I remember
What love smelled like, dispersed in the atmosphere

Wavy streams ran across her hair, that reminded me of mine
I brushed my fingers through the strands, holding her tight as if we ran out of time

I recall the warmth emanating from her sun-kissed skin,
Wrapped in my arms, as we fell asleep in endless oblivion

When she gazed into my eyes, filled with intimacy & trust
It was like looking back into the galaxy; filled with stardust & cosmic lust

Her beautiful eyes; they sparkled like fairy dust
It left me beyond breathless, trying to adjust

She's like cocaine; only stronger
This high is my addiction, and my imprudent obsession

But like a ghost, she vanished into thin air
All I could say, was that it wasn't fair

I'm facing withdrawal, starved of her touch
It's a constant numbing pain, without thinking much

Before we started it was already over,
I felt our bodies getting colder.

She only fell in love, with the ghost of my past;
But she's still in love with somebody else.

It was my reality, that felt like a fantasy
So how are we going to undo the pain?
