Chapter Seven.

It was three in the morning and I’d woken up from a terrible dream. Sweat was pouring down my face as I sat straight up in bed. I looked around my room; it was dark apart from the tiny light seeping through the curtains from the street light below. It took me a while to register that I was in a new place. I hopped out of bed and opened my door peeking my head out before tip toeing quickly down the stairs towards the kitchen. Zayn’s house was scary in the dark but I didn’t want to turn any lights on and disrupt him on my first night here, I couldn’t get kicked out, I had nowhere else to go. I searched the cupboards until I found a glass and filled it with cold water. I perched myself up on the counter and let the cool liquid soothe my throat. I jumped off the counter, taking the glass with me as I carried on back to bed. I knew it would be hard to get back to sleep, but I had to try. Zayn says that he’s taking me shopping after rehearsals tomorrow, which means the boys would be coming and I almost felt obliged to baby sit them in public, they’re all pretty full on when they’re in the same place at the same time. I set the glass down on my bedside table and lay down, staring at the roof. Thinking about nothing, well not nothing, I was thinking about Niall and I. I knew that I liked him, he gave me tingles and made me feel safe, and besides that he was gorgeous and so sweet, I’d be crazy not to like him. The boys all said he fancied me too, but I doubt it to be honest. I’m nothing special and he’s one of the most on demand stars in the world. Right now, I wasn’t in a stable place. I mean sure I’ve got a place to live now, but it’s going to take so long to get over this whole episode. To have a relationship at a time like this would be so hard.

Eventually my eyes started to flutter, I rolled over onto my side and let myself fall asleep effortlessly.

After what felt llike ten minutes, Zayn had a saucepan in one hand and a spoon in the other banging them together repeatedly shouting WAKE UP.

“Zayn, is it going to be like this EVERY morning?” I whined getting out of bed and walking over towards my door where I hung my dressing gown.

“If you sleep in until eleven every morning, then yes.” He said fleeing the room. I made my way downstairs after him, as I rounded the corner and into the kitchen, I realised that we weren’t alone. All four of the other boys we sat at the kitchen table sipping on tea, or in Niall’s case orange juice. My eyes widened and I turned around and booked it back upstairs. I looked like I had just awoken from the dead, I will kill Zayn for not mentioning that we had ‘guests’. I know I said I didn’t care about not having make-up on in front of them, but after waking up at three in the morning sweating like mad, I had a right to worry. I ran to my bedroom door and screamed out to Zayn.

“ZAYN, WHEN I GET OUT OF THIS SHOWER, YOU’RE DEAD.” I slammed the door. And wandered back to the bathroom. I took the quickest shower, literally threw on some make-up and walked over to my wardrobe to pick an outfit for the day. I put on some ripped skinny jeans with a sweatshirt and my vans. Hooray for having no clothing. I grabbed my purse and my phone and headed back downstairs.

When Zayn laid eyes on me, he grinned widely and ran to hide behind Niall.

“I’m prepared to take Niall out to get to you.” I shrugged throwing my purse on the couch and rolling up my sleeves. Zayn looked truly scared as he ran into the kitchen. I didn’t bother to follow, I just slumped down on the couch beside my purse. “What time are we leaving Liam?” I asked.

“Now, get up.” He laughed and he and the other boys walked out the door. I followed them and shut the door behind me. I took a deep breath, this had the potential to be a VERY long day.

When we pulled up at the recording studio, I didn’t know what to do with myself. It was huge and I was really excited to be there with them. The excitement soon wore off though, it’s really quite boring sitting around for three hours watching the boys sing the same lyrics over and over again. Niall leant me his guitar when he didn’t need it and I sat out in the corridor strumming along. After the long three hours were over, we all trudged back to the car, the boys look knackered.

“You know, maybe we should save shopping for another night, when you guys aren’t so tired.” I said simply. They all looked at me with eyebrows raised, you could see in their eyes that they weren’t going to stop the shopping trip, no matter how tired they were.

“TO THE MALL.” Louis shouted and the van moved off slowly.

I’m not sure what I was expecting to see at the mall, millions of fans? No fans at all? I was surprised to see that the opening hours on the doors clearly stated that the mall had closed two hours ago. The boys sensed my confusion and shook their heads. Niall grabbed my hand and pulled me inside.

“It’s so we have a chance to buy cool stuff, without being mobbed.” Niall whispered in my ear. I didn’t understand what he was talking about until two of the malls security guards opened the doors and waved us in, smiling widely. Louis was the first in and no sooner was he actually inside the building, he was gone again. Harry chased after him, although I had my doubts as to whether he’d actually catch him. Zayn spotted a ‘hot bird’, staring blankly into space from behind her register and went off to ‘chat her up’.  Liam couldn’t help but express his concerns about the trouble Louis and Harry were no doubt causing, and so he left to make sure they were under control. This left Niall and I standing in the middle of an empty shopping centre.

“Where to first love?”  He asked me smiling.

“I’ve never been here before, where is the nearest, ‘I’m broke and can’t afford anything in this place, but I’ll look around and pretend I can, store?”  I asked him. He laughed at me and slapped me lightly on the arm.

“You can have what you like today, I’ve got the bands credit card.” He smiled evilly rubbing his hands together.

“Firstly, how on earth did you snatch that without the continuous whinging of the other boys? And secondly, no. No spending the bands earnings on me.”

“Never you mind how I snatched it.” He grinned and walked off in the direction of Zayn and the ‘hot bird.’ I waited outside the store, I didn’t feel like having any kind of conversation with the chick Zayn had his sights on. Only a few minutes later Niall and Zayn skipped out grinning wildly.

“Let’s go!” Zayn sung grabbing my arm and pulling me toward the Forever 21 store. It’s my favourite store, for sure. However, it’s far too pricy. Zayn was watching me closely as I picked out a few things I liked and held them up to my body, giving them a once over in the mirror, before leaving the store with Niall close behind.

“Where’s Zayn?” I asked him, noticing that we’d left our friend behind.

“He said he’d catch up.” Niall grinned. I was suspicious, what was interesting for a guy in Forever 21? Probably another hot girl. “This way.” Niall said leading me to the next store. We’d only been in the store for a few minutes before Zayn caught up. We went back through the same steps as Forever 21 at, at least another four stores, each time Zayn would ‘catch up’.

“Time to go back to the van and meet the others.” Niall stated looking at his watch as we left the last store without Zayn again. When we got back to the van, the backseat was full of bags.

“Louis, is all of this yours?” I said gesturing to the clothing on the back seat.

“No, you Muppet. It’s yours!” Louis laughed at me.

“No, I didn’t buy anything today.” I laughed and turned to Niall who shrugged and slumped down into the seat next to me.

“Where’s Zayn?” Harry asked me.

“How should I know, he’s been M.I.A for the most part of the day.”

“Have not!” Zayn whined jumping into the car with both hands full of bags from the last store we’d visited. He threw the bags in the back seat with the others and sat down in the seat in front of mine.

“So you’re the one that’s been doing all the shopping?” I asked him, laughing.

“No, well techinically, yes. But it’s not for me.” He laughed back. I had a bad feeling about this.

“Who’s it for?” I asked grabbing a Forever 21 bag from the back and rifling through it. I pulled out a familiar pair of jeans. “Zayn, care to explain?” I asked raising my eyebrows.

“You needed clothes love.” He smiled and turned to Harry who was talking flat out to Louis about fish.

“I’ll kill you all.” I stated before laying back against the seat and having a little snooze.

Crappiest chappie.
