A girl gazed at the dying star before her, and laughed. She knew how strong she was. Stronger than stars, stronger than suns, worlds...there was nothing to stop her, to ever stop her. She was the universe, as there were none left.
"Tam, wake up, we're here."
Tam eyes slowly fluttered open as her older sibling's voice awoke her. She clenched her head as it felt like her head had just been placed in a vice grip before being released and put into another vice grip. On fire. She looked to see her sibling beside her, their ginger hair cut short, only several strands of hair reaching their thin shoulders, and wrapping around their thinner neck. They took their pale right hand off the wheel and pushed up the black frame of their square glasses, turning to them.
"You okay?" They tilted their head to the left a little.
"Yeah...where's Mat?" She looked around their family's humvee confused, eyes squinting as the light blinded her somewhat.
"He said he'd walk, remember?" Their lip twitched a little. "You sure you okay?"
"Yeah...m-my head just kills. I had another one of those weird dreams."
"You should head to the nurse's office first...you remember where that is?"
"I sho-I should be fine." Tam wrapped her arms around herself, rubbing her shoulders. "I better go, I'll be late. Thanks for the ride, ATM." Tam slowly undid her seatbelt and got her grey student handbag under her seat before she opened the large black door and hopped out, closing one of her eyes as she winced when the pain in her head got slightly worse after the action.
"Chi Pot Lee after school?" ATM asked just before Tam shut the door.
"Yeah, sounds good. Bye."
"Bye."
Tam looked at the massive white marble eyesore that was her and her siblings' school, Ceaseless-Cycle College (or CCC for short). It had several towers and the complex went on for miles, encompassing all in sight. She sighed as she walked past a white pillar with a poster that contained the school's motto: "Remember, It Never Ends."
The day had just begun, and she was already exhausted not just because of her sudden headache and weird possibly prophetic dreams, but because of what she was going to do today-reject her best friend's romantic advances.
"Tam!" An excited voice called.
Here we go. She thought as she faced her childhood best friend and neighbour, who she had walked with to school everyday, until today. She thanked the gods that had long since abandoned the Planet they all lived on that ATM drove her to school today, she didn't think she could've done this otherwise.
"Hi Joey." The words barely left her mouth before her friend embraced her in a tight hug. Their long straight brown hair tickling Tam's shoulder. Tam gave a muted grunt as she felt as their breasts brushed against each other. Her eyes narrowed as she knew by this point Joey was doing it on purpose. Joey pulled away, hands still on Tam's shoulders.
"You got a ride today, you okay?" The light reflected off Joey's round glasses, reminding Tam of her older sibling. A bland looking but not at all ugly girl, Joey King was Tam's friend for so long she couldn't even remember not hanging out with her. Which is why she had to tell her the truth.
She was starting to get annoyed at people asking her that.
"Yeah...my head...just kills. I actually-have to talk to you about something."
Joey released Tam's shoulders, a concerned look creeping upon her jovial face. "Okay, head to class first, though?'
Joey put Tam's hand into hers, intertwining their fingers, and began to walk, Tam looked at their hands and didn't budge she instead pulled her arm slightly, just enough to get her to notice.
