"And then...I was here." He held back tears as his throat burned. Stupid.

"Sunflower..." Joey began.

"That's just terrible. Terribly hilarious, that is!" The Dean said with a cackle as he absentmindedly played a game on a holo-screen. Everyone except the two Graces and Sunflower shot the Second Dean a look. I'm seriously out of 'what the fuck' cards to pull here.

"This is a serious matter, Dean. Rape is a serious matter." The android with the rose-coloured visor crossed their arms behind their back. Wow, really?

"Is this a matter of rape? If so, it's very serious." The android with the jade-coloured visor crossed their arms. You repeating it like that doesn't make it sound as serious.

"It is." The two androids gave Sunflower a look. What?

"I'm sorry, but could you two tell me who you are and what LoWWAD has to do with the Second Dean?" Tam asked abruptly. My thoughts exactly.

The one with rose-coloured glasses and the trench coat approached her, holding out an alabaster hand.

"Jocelyn Blacksummers. Founder of the League of Wronged Women in All Dimensions. The lovely womandroid wearing a rose-coloured visor is my partner, Lorelei Masonry."

Tam reluctantly shook the android's hand, leaning back against the sofa with an unsatisfied look.

"I understand that some people are uncomfortable around androids."

"Idiot pigs." Lorelei murmured. Jocelyn eyes behind her visor darted to glance at her for a millisecond before she continued speaking.

"Rest assured, we're not that different. We both want a safer CCC. Where women from all dimensions are given the support, security, and strength they need." She gave a winning smile that was the kind they put on an advert. She sounds more reasonable than most of the humans I've met.

"Yes, I'm all about supporting wronged women, so-let's wrong all the men!" The Second Dean said as he slammed his fist unto the desk. Lorelei gave an approving nod that Jocelyn facepalmed at in response.

"What about you?!" Joey asked, stunned at his statement.

"What about me? Oh-easy mistake. I'm no man, I'm the Second Dean." He smirked at her and winked.

"O-kay." Joey put her hands up and gave a face that said she was done trying to talk to him.

"You still didn't answer my question." Tam asked Jocelyn in a stern tone, her arms crossed.

"We came straight here from our headquarters, Wav3, after we did some digging into why Leone Carmichael did what he did that fateful night. As it turns out, that why was actually a who. A Ms-"

"Carmine Carmichael." Joey blurted out, before her hands flew to her mouth. "Sorry. I uh, just...knew her. Kinda."

"Then you understand why we're here. Condolences." Jocelyn gave a sympathetic smile.

"T-Thank you." Joey looked to the ground, with Tam glancing curiously in her direction.

"Some kind of awareness program?" The tall ginger who Sunflower remembered was ATM asked.

"Something like that. We want to prevent tragic cases like the Carmichaels from happening again. We're building a memorial."

"Forgive me for interrupting but I don't remember approving that." Grace Ironmonger interrupted after clearing her throat.
