Hi, my name is Anne Morris, I'm thirteen and in the eighth grade. I love walking in parks, and the strong silent type. Okay, no wait to don't stop reading. I will be serious now. I don't know why I've mentally decided to do that. Just being bored I guess. The end of the school day tended to do that to me.
"Anne." A boy called to me. I looked up and it's Elwin Norven my best friend. He was quite tall for his age and was an anxious little bean. He was always picked on for looking like a girl. Long black hair in a loose ponytail, squeaky girl voice, and frail frame. He wore a long black sleeve with a baggy indigo sweatshirt with short sleeves. Black cargo pant and grey sneakers. He also looked like a nerd with the black hipster glasses.
"You couldn't wait to leave this place?" Elwin huffed from catching up. "Yeah this place sucks ass," I stated firmly. "Don't cuss." He scorned me. I smirked, "And why not?" He rolled his eyes and said, "Because you're not old enough." He replied adjusting his backpack strap.
"Move nerd." A boy said pushing Elwin over. The bully was accompanied by two girls and three boys. The girls giggled at Elwin who was whining about landing on his elbow.
"Apologize." I snapped. The bully turned and looked at me. "Who said that?" He said suddenly forcing himself to look at the sky and building.
His name is Jason Grey. Capricorn likes to misbehave and not my type.
I feel bad for his parents. They were so nice, and he was so... Stoned? He always looked stoned.
"You know perfectly well who said that," I growled. He looked around like he was having the biggest trip of his life. "Is it me or are there people getting murdered several blocks away?" He laughed and his friends did too.
Did I forget to mention I have a bad habit getting trouble for stupid things? Like once, I was kicked out of the band because a Chinese warrior man with ram horns was playing the lyre, and he was doing that when someone had a solo, and I yelled at him to "Stop his terrible playing, it was rude." I tried to tell everyone that I didn't mean it toward the soloist, he was always a beautiful player, but they didn't bite on the truth. That year Jason decided to pretend I didn't exist much like the Chinese man. Some teachers even joined the game. One time I beat up Jason for it and he still pretended I didn't exist, but still, he is scared of me.
I clenched my fist and walked up to him. He flinched as if something was thrown at him. Elwin grabbed my arm.
"Don't Anne okay, I'm fine," Elwin begs. I stare down the stoner for a moment before turning away. I hear them laugh and high five as we walk away. I stop and look at the group wishing that a meteor would land on them.
"Just don't mind them,"Elwin says holding my hand. "I can't help it." I huff. Elwin moves a red highlighted part of my hair off to the side. I look into his big black eyes. He looks like he is in a trance for a moment before pulling his hand away.
My attention turns to the group of bullies and right behind them, I see the Chinese warrior. He looks stern and godly.
Jason turns around and screams like a girl upon seeing the horned warrior. All his friends looked scared too but confused as well. They all laugh a moment later except Jason who looks like he is tripping. His bully friends looked so nervous now.
The warrior picked up Jason by his purple shirt splattered with various colors of the rainbow, and now Jason is screaming like a girl. High pitched and frantic.
The rest of the bullies were freaking out around him. "Jason Yo, man you okay?" One Mexican boy asks holding his cross necklace. The girls shook and ran away and the boys followed soon after.
The ram-horned warrior sets down Jason gently, then smiled courteously like to say "Thanks for letting me do that." Jason nodded and chuckled nervously, and backed away from the warrior. The warrior junted his chin to the right. Jason nodded and stepped that direct. Before Jason was completely out of reach the ram warrior flicked him in the head and Jason bolted off.
"Who is that?" Elwin asked nervously gripping my hand. "I think he is my savior," I said smiling. The ram warrior looked at me and gave a warm smile before pulling out a whip and cracking it. In a flash, he was gone. A breeze whizzed through my hair and hear a voice say, "Nielsen wire."
"Let's go home." Elwin tugged on my arm roughly. I gave in and follow him, but then stopped. "You saw him?" I asked uncertainly. "Yeah, was I not supposed to." He replied stopping ten feet away from me. "He's the guy that's caused me trouble so many time," I explain. His eyes widen with fear. "No, no, no. I'm crazy now. What did you put in the juice pouch?" Elwin panicked. "Elwin?" I said cautiously. "That's it, we are burning all the juice pouches, and buying you juice boxes from now on." Elwin over dramatized with his arms. I raise a brow. "Elwin," I say more strict. "Does this stuff wear off? Oh, I bet it doesn't. You've been slowly poisoning juice to see the same things as you." His speech gets quicker. "Elwin," I said almost laughing this time. "This is it I'm going to be crazy now too and that, the guy will probably start hanging around me too. I will fail all my tests and be homeless, is it not enough that we are orphans." He continued to rant as I just stared behind him. "For all we know... hey, Anne what are you smiling at?"
"Probably at the warrior that will haunt you because you drank apple juice from the pouch instead of the box." The ram warrior says standing behind Elwin. The Chinese man glowed a rusty red color.
Elwin's eyes roll and facepalms. "It's too late for me now I suppose." Elwin sighed. The warrior chuckled and disappear with another crack of his whip. The anxious bean looked behind himself. "And the madness begins." He sighed and began walking. I giggled and followed.
