"What are we supposed to do with this to do with this?" Elwin asked examining the arrow. "I'm not sure. Hey Aries what are we supposed to do now?" I asked looking over my shoulder for Aries. Only he wasn't there. We both stopped and looked in all directions for him, but we couldn't find him. "Hey what's this?" Elwin said bending down to pick something up. It was a paper. Elwin began reading it.

"Sorry I left so soon. I'm sure I told you the reasons why I can't stay once you have the arrows. Now is when you both must make a choice whether you want to continue the job of collecting the arrows or handing them off to someone else, who is also a zodiac. If you decide to carry on with this task. You must leave everything behind. Your life, and your families.

In order to continue on you must:

Take three items with you that you'll want to hold onto forever.

Fake your deaths.

Never talk to anyone you knew previously."

"Fake our deaths!" Elwin yelped. I covered his mouth quickly. "We are still outside idiot." I hissed. Normally I didn't like being mean to him but if he was going to freak out I had to be. I slowly remove my hand from his mouth and he hands the arrow to me. "There is no way I'm doing this Anne." He cried. "They're your mom's arrows." I snapped back at him. He looked at me with puppy eyes. I start to feel sick in my stomach. I never get angry at him like this. Elwin's hands shook as he crossed his arms. "How are we going to fake our deaths Ann, and where do we go after this, huh?" Elwin cried back.

"I don't know." I say through barred teeth. "Just get three things at your house and I'll get three things from mine." I say handing back the arrow to him. He rolls his eyes and harshly takes it from my hand. He doesn't say anything else and walks away. I can't help but feel I dragged him into this. I stop thinking about it and head home to. Which was awkward because I was going the same way he was.

I almost want to tell him that he doesn't have to go, but I didn't want to go alone. I wanted him to be there with me.

When we get to our houses Mr. Norven is waiting at the door for Elwin. Elwin runs up to his dad and hugs him. He doesn't let go of his dad, and it looks like he's crying. That makes me feel worse. They go inside quickly.

I walk up to my doorstep and grip the door handle tightly and open the door. Same old home. The same old routine of dropping off all my things at the door. I began heading up the stairs only I didn't step, I marched up the stairs. I felt disgusted and angry with myself. I make it up to my room and stare at the small comfortable space. I can't help but see myself laying on the bed eating cuties like I was a couple days ago. I could go for some cuties right now.

"What could I bring?" I ask myself while feeling the blanket on my bed. A red glare catches my attention from the other side of the room. I look over and see my red stained guitar. I hardly played it, but maybe I'll actually start. I pick it up by the neck and the overwhelming feeling of sadness passed over me. I look up and scan the room for more items. I don't see anything else that is interesting, so I leave the room with my guitar and going downstairs. The house is so quiet, and dark, and cold.

That's it. I think to myself. I rush over to the kitchen and look at the top of the fridge. They're up there. I think surely of myself. I pull a chair from the dining table up to the fridge and hop on it instantly. I can barely see over the fridge even of the chair, but at least I could reach up farther.

My hand smacks the top of the fridge as I feel around for the object I need. Then there I feel it. Matches. I grab them and almost jump up and down with excitement, but restrain myself.

Knock, knock came from the door. I shutter partially shocked and get down from the chair. I approach the door and open it slowly. Elwin is on the other side holding a backpack in one arm. His eyes looked red and irritated. It didn't match his forest green eyes.

"Elwin?" I said surprised. He tried to crack somewhat of a smile. "I'm ready." His voice cracked. "Yeah, let's go." I almost say mewl. I step out of my house and put the matches in my pocket. Elwin closes the door after me.

"What are you bringing?" Elwin said slinging the backpack over his shoulder. "I'm bringing this and matches." I said gesturing to my guitar. "I thought he said three things." Elwin stated while picking at the hem of his shirt. "Well," I stumble to find the words to say at first, "I guess you are my third." Elwin trips on his own feet but finds his balance again. "Ann." Elwin whined. I smile and laugh at his flustered reaction.

"Nevermind that, do we have a plan?" Elwin asked changing the subject. I pull the matches out of my pocket and show them to him. He flinches upon seeing them. "Not sure what that means but okay." Elwin shrugs nervously. We continue to walk and walk. Until we get to the outskirts of town.

I look at the sky and see clouds building up. If I want to get the results I'm looking for we have to hurry. I pick up the pace and Elwin does too without question.

By now we have probably been walking for an hour. We were on the edge of rule area. Tall wheatgrass and the smell of farmland fit the area. The clouds were building up more and more above us. It's so dark, but yet I can make out things in the distance.

"What are we going, Ann?" Elwin asked approaching my side. "A reasonable place that is abandoned." I replied.

The air felt warm and humid. We needed to find a place quick. Just as I thought that an old building caught my eye from down the road. Perfect, that will be the place.
